Tom Petty's band Mudcrutch announce new album & tour

6/7 update: some Webster Hall tickets were just released.

Last month, Tom Petty announced that he would once again reunite his pre-Heartbreakers band Mudcrutch, and that they were working on a new album and planning to tour. Now both of those things have been officially announced. The album, their second, is called 2, and it’s due out May 20 via Reprise. That’s the album artwork above and you can find the tracklist below. If you pre-order the album you get an instant download of three tracks, including lead single “Trailer” that comes out as a 7″ on Record Store Day.

In addition to previously-announced festivals Summer Camp and Bunbury, the tour includes two nights at NYC’s Webster Hall, June 10 and 11, and a stop at NYC-area venue The Capitol Theater on June 14. The Cap show has The Shelters opening. FIrst access to tickets for the tour go to Tom Petty fan club members on Wednesday (3/30) at 10 AM. After that, tickets for Webster and the Cap go on sale Friday, April 1 at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
