Tool share title track off first album in 13 years (listen)

Tool Fear Inoculum

Tool‘s first album in 13 years, Fear Inoculum, is officially set to come out on August 30, and now the first taste of the album is here: the 10+ minute title track. This one leans more on their melodic, atmospheric, psychedelic side than their metal side, and that’s not a bad thing at all. Listen below!

The new 85-minute album was produced by Tool, and engineered and mixed by Joe Barresi, who also worked on 10,000 Days. Here’s more via press release:

Continuing their affinity for pushing the boundaries of physical packaging, the GRAMMY Award® winning outfit has created a deluxe, limited-edition CD version of Fear Inoculum. The collectible offering, which was conceived by and directed by Adam Jones, features a 4” HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, charging cable, 2 watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital download card. Pre-orders for both the special package and digital downloads are available now. A vinyl release will be announced soon.

Last Friday, Tool’s back catalog finally hit streaming services for the first time. You can read our Tool album guide while you dig in.
