The winner of the 2019 Polaris Music Prize — Canada’s annual award for a great album — is Toronto rapper Haviah Mighty‘s 2019 debut album 13th Floor, which beat out shortlisted albums by PUP, Marie Davidson, Jessie Reyez, Shad, and more, and longlisted albums by Fucked Up, Carly Rae Jepsen, Operators, Voivod, Dilly Dally, and more.
