With measures trying to stop the spread of the coronavirus really ramping up — and many cities ordering bars, restaurants and clubs closed — tours through spring (and a few beyond) are being postponed/canceled left and right. Head here for more COVID-19 related news and check the Tour Dates category every day for more tour-related news.

Swans tour is postponed:

Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon’s spring tour with Justin Townes Earle and Worriers has been rescheduled for the summer. Dates kick off in NYC with shows at Town Hall on July 15 and Webster Hall on July 16. All dates are here.

Bang on a Can’s inaugural Longplay Festival was set for May 1-3 but it’s been postponed indefinitely:

We’ve now spoken to all the artists and partners and can now officially confirm that the inaugural run of our LONG PLAY festival has been postponed indefinitely. As soon as the world heals to the point we can once again throw parties and concerts, we’ll LOUDLY reschedule. To all ticket holders – look for an email this week regarding refunds and donations. Our ticket hub Eventbrite is working with us to make sure we respond efficiently to all requests and concerns.

We understand there's way more important things going on in the world right now and at this point we could give up and float backwards, but we have realized attitude and outlook really matter. As the world continues to take strong measures and fight the spread of COVID-19, our thoughts and wishes go out to you, your friends and loved ones. We have to come to terms that this is a fluid circumstance that is just getting started. As for now, we must postpone our APRIL and MAY tour dates, but please hang on to your tickets as we have every intention of rescheduling the dates. If you are in need of a refund, please contact your point of purchase. We will continue to reassess the situation day by day, but we feel hopeful that we can all be reunited once again soon. In the event that public health or safety is still questionable we will make all adjustments needed. We would never ask you to attend an unsafe event. Stay safe and healthy. Creativity (and social distancing) will save the world. We love you forever – Brian & Mat

Waxahatchee has announced tour dates that have been rescheduled from the spring to the late summer and fall, including the Brooklyn shows which will now happen at Elsewhere on October 6 & 7. There’s also a show at NJ’s Asbury Lanes on August 14. Head here for all dates.

The Lemon Twigs’ new album Songs for the General Public was supposed to be out in May but the release date has been moved to August 24 and their spring/summer tour has been postponed:

Bob Mould’s postponed tour with Jason Narducy has now been rescheduled for November:

The Motionless In White tour that Knocked Loose were set to open has been postponed “to a different timeframe this year.” As of now, Knocked Loose and Hatebreed’s run opening for Parkway Drive is still on (but Hatebreed recently cancelled headlining spring dates and postponed their new album release indefinitely), and Knocked Loose are still scheduled to play the recently-announced Sound and Fury festival.
