ALICE COOPER / LITA FORD

The legendary Alice Cooper has been touring all year, and he just announced even more dates for 2020. He’s doing a spring run with Runaways guitarist turned glam metal icon Lita Ford, with dates in the Midwest, Canada, and the West Coast. All tour dates and tickets here.

YOUNG M.A

Young M.A hinted at plans for a tour yesterday, and though that’s still TBA, there are currently two chances to catch the NYC rapper in her hometown. She’s playing the TIDAL x Rock The Vote benefit show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on October 21 and the Power 105.1 Powerhouse pre-show at Brooklyn’s Villain on October 23. THE BUDOS BAND

NYC’s funky, soulful and sometimes hard-rockin’ Budos Band released their fifth album via Daptone earlier this year and have a few tour dates on the horizon. They’ll play McMinnville, TN on Halloween and will then head to Louisville and Atlanta. They’ve also just announced a few East Coast shows for early 2020, playing Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on January 17, followed by shows in DC and Philly. KEVIN BARNES (OF MONTREAL) & CHRISTINA SCHNEIDER (LOCATE S.1)

Of Montreal and Locate S.1 are on tour now (they’ll play Brooklyn’s The Bell House on 10/27). When that tour is over, Kevin Barnes of Of Montreal and Locate S.1’s Christina Schneider will play a holiday show at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on December 20 (tickets).

THE FLESHTONES

NYC garage rock greats The Fleshtones will release a new 7″ single for Record Store Day Black Friday, and to celebrate they’ll both perform a free show at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on Black Friday (11/29) which will have them accompanied by Lenny Kaye.  That’s one of a handful of upcoming dates for the band, including NYC’s Bowery Electric on Thursday, as well as shows in Ithaca, Somerville, MA, and Providence. They’ll head to Europe in November, getting back just in time for that Rough Trade show. All dates are listed here.

WOOLEN MEN

Portland’s Woolen Men just announced their new album, Human to Human, which will be out November 22 (stream “Mexico City Blues” below). They’ve got a couple hometown shows coming up, including a release-day celebration, and another show in December. Hopefully they’ll hit the East Coast soon, it’s been a while.

THE VELDT (OPENING FOR SEEFEEL)

Long-running shoegaze band The Veldt will be on tour this month and November, including Carrboro, NC with Swervedriver and  will be on East Coast Dates of Seefeel’s first-ever North American tour. Dates with Seefeel include Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, London, ON, Brooklyn (Warsaw on 11/14) and Philly. They’ve also got a couple other NYC shows (Alphaville on Halloween), not to mention a Boston date, too. Head here for The Veldt’s full schedule.

FLOATING POINTS

Floating Points will release his new album, Crush, on Friday via Ninja Tune and you can catch him live across Europe this November, and he’s just announced a few US shows for Spring 2020.

CITY OF THE SUN

Acoustic post-rockers City of the Sun have announced a 2020 tour, hitting LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Philly, Brooklyn (3/13 at Brooklyn Steel), DC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Nashville, and more. All dates and tickets here.

BONNY LIGHT HORSEMAN

Bonny Light Horseman — the new supergroup of Anais Mitchell, Eric D Johnson (Fruit Bats), and The National/Craig Finn/Hiss Golden Messenger collaborator Josh Kaufman — will release their debut album in January, and they’re also touring in 2020.

ANDERSON .PAAK

Anderson .Paak has a few dates coming up, including a charity show in NYC.

LAURYN HILL

Lauryn Hill plays Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Bowl tonight and she’ll play another iconic venue — NYC’s United Palace — in February.

SLEATER-KINNEY

Sleater-Kinney recently began their tour supporting their new album The Center Won’t Hold, and it continues through the end of November in North America before picking back up in 2020 with European dates. It’s their first full tour in a number of years, and in the case of NYC, their two shows, at Hammerstein Ballroom and Kings Theatre, are their first in the city since 2015. Tickets are still on sale for both shows, and you can see all of S-K’s upcoming dates here. Meanwhile, as mentioned, Shamir dropped off the tour; Joseph Keckler will be replacing him on the remaining dates.
