The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

FOALS

UK band Foals announced details of their new album and an extensive upcoming North American tour, which includes a NYC stop at Brooklyn Steel on 4/13. They’ve now added a second Brooklyn Steel date to the tour on 4/14. Tickets for the new date are on presale now (use password PIGEON) and the whole tour goes on sale to the general public on Friday, January 25. Head here for all tour dates.

BEACH FOSSILS

Brooklyn band Beach Fossils are playing Coachella this year and after the fest’s two weekend, they’ll do a bit of touring, including dates in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. Details are here.

SHECK WES OPENING TRAVIS SCOTT TOUR

Travis Scott begins the second round of his Astroworld tour this Friday (1/25), and he revealed that Sheck Wes, who released one of the best rap albums of 2018 (and who opened the previous round of Astroworld dates and is on Travis’ label), will be opening the tour. That includes the NYC shows at MSG on 3/2 and Barclays Center on 3/3 (tickets). All dates here. Sheck Wes also plays NYC’s Governors Ball, Boston Calling, and Coachella.

CARDI B VEGAS RESIDENCY.

It seems like everyone’s doing a Vegas residency lately, and now Cardi B is too. The Associated Press reports that the residency will begin this spring at KAOS, “a dayclub and nightclub amphitheater-style complex that is set to open in April.” Stay tuned for exact dates. Cardi’s also playing Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, Hangout, and more.

METAL CHURCH / DORO

Two veteran metal acts, Metal Church and Doro of Warlock, are heading out on a co-headlining US tour this spring. The tour kicks off in Vegas, and then hits LA, Chicago, NYC, Poughkeepsie, Asbury Park, and more. (The NYC show is announced as Highline Ballroom, but that venue is expected to be closed by then, so stay tuned in case the show relocates.) All dates here.

SORRY GIRLS

Montreal dreampop duo Sorry Girls, who are signed to Arbutus Records, head out on a short North American tour this week, starting Thursday (1/24) in Brooklyn at C’mon Everybody, then hitting Toronto, Detroit, Hamilton, ON, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, Quebec City and Montreal. All dates are here, and you can watch the new video for their single “Easier,” below.

HORRENDOUS / OF FEATHER AND BONE

Philly death metallers Horrendous, whose Idol was one of the best metal albums of 2018, have announced four West Coast dates with Of Feather and Bone: LA, Oakland, Portland, and Seattle. Each show has regional support, including Mortal Wound, Mortuous, Witch Vomit, Cavurn, and more. More info and tickets here.

DEAD SWORDS (mem THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM)

Dead Swords are a new-ish shoegaze band featuring The Gaslight Anthem guitarist Alex Rosamilia and Corey Perez (who at one point was in I Am The Avvalanche). Their new album Enders comes out March 8 via Human Blood Records, and they’re celebrating with a NJ show on March 15 at White Eagle Hall. No other tour dates announced at the moment, but stay tuned in case that changes. You can hear the 10-minute “Ender” off their upcoming album:

BIKINI KILL

Bikini Kill continue to expand their reunion tour, and now have a total of three NYC shows and three LA shows coming up.

YOUTH OF TODAY

Hardcore legends Youth of Today’s We’re Not In This Alone lineup of Ray, Porcell, Walter, and Sammy are playing their first NYC shows in 20+ years this March, and just added a third show after selling out the first two.

THURSDAY

Thursday have added a second intimate Brooklyn show at Saint Vitus to their 20th anniversary tour. The first one sold out almost immediately.

HAVE A NICE LIFE

Have A Nice Life are making a rare NYC appearance by headlining The Flenser’s showcase at Brooklyn Bazaar in March. It sold out, and a second one was added for Market Hotel with a similar lineup. HANL also play Roadburn.

THE CHURCH

The Church are extending their Starfish 30th Anniversary Tour into 2019 and will be back in the U.S. this spring.

Y LA BAMBA

Portland’s Y La Bamba are back with new LP, Mujeres, on February 8 and they’ll begin their North American tour the day after that, hitting Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin for SXSW, Philly, DC, New Haven, Brooklyn (4/11 @ BRIC House), and many points in between. CHRIS STAPLETON / MARGO PRICE & more

Chris Stapleton announced a 2019 edition of his “All-American Road Show” tour and among the openers is the great Margo Price.

KLAUS JOHANN GROBE

Swiss disco-krautrock duo Klaus Johann Grobe will tour with Vinyl Williams this spring — their first time here in three years.

ROCK FEST

Rock Fest is another one of these bro-rock fests with similar lineups and lots of cheese. This one’s got Mastodon, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and not much else worth caring about. Full lineup and tickets here.
