BON IVER

Bon Iver are playing three shows in their native Wisconsin in October in partnership with 46 for 46, a campaign aiming to defeat Donald Trump in this year’s presidential election by “increasing civic action among musicians and fans through concerts and organizing.” The concerts will happen in La Crosse, Wausau, and Appleton and “With these shows Bon Iver hopes to bring more fans into the political process, increase voter turnout and civic action to help elect a new President, and show the rest of the country that Wisconsin can still live up to its rich progressive history.” Tickets go on sale Friday, February 21 at 10 AM CST, with a presale starting February 19 at 10 AM. Bon Iver have other dates before those, including Montreal’s Osheaga, and their full schedule is here.

THE ENGLISH BEAT (INCLUDING DATES WITH MADNESS)

Dave Wakeling will take his current lineup of The English Beat on the road, with California dates this month, and and then a more extensive North American tour beginning in March. Dates include Salt Lake City, Fort Collins, Omaha, Warrendale, Toronto, Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, and more, and they’ll open for their former 2 Tone Records labelmates Madness at shows in Boston, NYC (May 22 at Hammerstein Ballroom), and Oakland. They’ll also play the Cruel World Festival in Los Angeles with Bauhaus, Blondie, Devo, Echo & the Bunnymen and much more. All dates are here.

DAVID BYRNE’S AMERICAN UTOPIA ON BROADWAY

David Byrne‘s American Utopia on Broadway wrapped up its successful run on Sunday but they’ve announced the show will return in September for a 17 week run at The Hudson Theatre from September 18 – January 17, 2021.

THE MOVIELIFE

Long Island melodic hardcore vets The Movielife closed out 2019 with an intimate Brooklyn show, and while they’ve been quiet so far in 2020, they’ve now announced a trio of new East Coast dates in May.

NEGATIVE APPROACH

Detroit hardcore legends Negative Approach will be on tour this spring and summer with Circle Jerks and Adolescents but in between legs of the tour they’ll also be out with LA’s ACxDC (Antichrist Demoncore) and, for most dates, Nashville’s Bandit.

SARAH HARMER

Singer, songwriter and environmental activist Sarah Harmer will release her first new album in 10 years, Are You Gone, this Friday via Arts & Crafts. She’ll be on tour in support of the record starting February 26 in Alexandria, VA and then stops in Philadelphia, NYC (Joe’s Pub on 2/29), and Boston, before heading back to Canada for dates starting in late March. She’ll be back in the U.S. in May. Head here for all dates.

CLOAK

Atlanta black metal/classic rock blenders Cloak recently announced tour dates including shows with Horrendous, Satan, Haunt, Spectral Voice, and more, and now they’ve added even more dates.

GZA

GZA just played two full-band Blue Note shows on his Liquid Swords 25th anniversary tour last week, and he has now expanded that tour.

WHITE FENCE (OPENING FOR WILCO)

Tim Presley’s White Fence will open for Wilco at a few dates in April — specifically New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. All dates are here.
