RINGWORM

The great, long-running, and highly influential metallic hardcore band Ringworm are playing three shows with back-in-action death metal vets Skinless in June, including a Northside Festival show in Brooklyn, and they just announced a headlining tour for July that hits Buffalo, Philly, Baltimore, and more. All dates HERE. Ringworm also revealed that they recently entered the studio to record the followup to 2016’s great Snake Church, which they’re expecting to release in early 2019 via Relapse.

CHVRCHES

CHVRCHES are releasing their new album Love Is Dead later this month, and they’re playing some shows including day three of NYC’s Governors Ball. They now added a smaller, headlining NYC show happening May 21 at Elsewhere (Hall) with The Range opening. All dates here.

The Decemberists will be in Brooklyn in June to play Prospect Park with M. Ward. All tour dates and ticket info is here.

NEKO CASE

Before her tour in support of new album Hell-On starts in earnest, Neko Case has a few promotional events lined up this month. She’ll be on Live From Here with Chris Thile on Saturday, and she’ll be in NYC for Running Late with Scott Rogowsky (5/22) and a NPR First Listen Live show at Brooklyn’s little Littlefield on 5/23 (sold out). Her actual tour hits NYC in September.

THE JOY FORMIDABLE / TANCRED

The Joy Formidable presumably have a new album on the way, as they’ve just shared a teaser and a new song called “Dance of the Lotus.” You can download the song for free in exchange for your email address at their website for a limited time only, and watch the teaser below. The band also announced a tour with Polyvinyl-signed indie rockers Tancred that hits Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on 11/9, plus stops in DC, Philly, Cambridge, Chicago, LA, and more. All dates here.

DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL

Dashboard Confessional recently wrapped up a tour with appealing openers Beach Slang and Kississippi, and today they announced new dates with (less appealing) co-headliners All Time Low. The dates include NYC’s new Pier 17 Rooftop Concert Series.

DRAKE / MIGOS

“Walk It Talk It” and “Versace” collaborators Drake and Migos are joining forces for an arena tour this year, including four nights in NYC.

DAVE CHAPPELLE & JON STEWART

These two former Comedy Central stars will be teaming up for a few shows in June…nothing in NYC sadly (for us).

TIM HEIDECKER & GREGG TURKINGTON “ON CINEMA”

On their movie review show On Cinema, Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington’s personal lives often take on a larger role than actually reviewing movies. See it unfold in person at West Coast dates in June and East Coast dates in October.
