CULTURE ABUSE

Culture Abuse’s great new album Bay Dream came out today on Epitaph (we wrote about it here), and they also just announced release shows happening in NYC, LA, and Oakland this July. That’s in addition to touring Europe with The Bronx this month, followed by a few Europe shows with Modern Life Is War and Cro-mags, and a US tour with Nothing in September. All dates here.

CITIZENS ARREST

Not a tour, but hardcore vets Citizens Arrest had to cancel their Kingsland show that was set to happen this month (6/30), and they’re instead playing NYC on August 5 at Bowery Electric with The Rachets, Headlines, Nervous Triggers, and Hatrabbits (ft. Mikey Erg). Tickets are on sale. No other currently known Citizens Arrest dates.

THE GET UP KIDS

After releasing their very solid new EP Kicker on Polyvinyl last week, emo vets The Get Up Kids kicked off their tour in Dallas last night (6/14). Their current Southwest/West Coast run is with fellow emo vets The Casket Lottery, and after this they have an East Coast/Midwest run with Knapsack/Jealous Sound offshoot Racquet Club and Ageist. THE NUDE PARTY

Party-friendly, twangy garage rockers The Nude Party will release their debut album on July 6 which was produced by Oakley Munson of Black Lips. Check out the video for “Water on Mars,” below. Before that they’ve got a few dates opening for Arctic Monkeys (Raleigh, Nashville, Atlanta) this week, and they’ll play a NYC record release show at Rough Trade on July 5. They also play Meltasia’s The Great Meltdown Funnabration in upstate NY in late July. Their tour schedule also includes UK/EU shows in August and an appearance at this year’s Austin City Limits Fest. LITTLE DRAGON

Sweden’s Little Dragon are playing shows in California this weekend with Flying Lotus but will be back this fall for more dates, including opening for Gorillaz in Boston and two headlining shows at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere.

OMAR SOULEYMAN

Syrian musician Omar Souleyman will be back in North America this fall, though currently there’s only one date we can find: NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl on October 4 (tickets). He does however have shows in Europe this summer and fall. All dates are here.

KEVIN MORBY

Kevin Morby began his solo acoustic tour in Brooklyn last night as part of The Bell House’s summer series at Industry City. Among his upcoming dates is a special show in an apartment in the Woolworth Building in downtown Manhattan where he’ll do all Springsteen songs (and you can check out Bruce’s original handwritten lyrics draft of “Born to Run.”

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE

After just announcing their new album Thank You For Today and sharing the enjoyable lead single “Gold Rush,” Death Cab are about to begin their tour in the Netherlands this Saturday (6/16). They’ll make their way around North and South America in the fall, after the album is out, including some recently-added Philly and Boston shows (there’s also two almost-sold-out Brooklyn shows). The The are officially back and have been making their way through Europe (check out photos from Royal Albert Hall). The North American leg of their tour begins in Boston in September, stops at Brooklyn Steel and Beacon Theatre, and now also includes a 2nd LA show (tickets for September 25 at Hollywood Palladium are available).

Hardcore supergroup All Pigs Must Die have announced some Northeastern shows to take place after they play Psycho Las Vegas.

RICO NASTY

Fast-rising Maryland rapper Rico Nasty just dropped her Atlantic debut, Nasty, and she’ll support it on “The Nasty Tour” this summer.
