The quirky and charming Darwin Deez is back with his fourth album, 10 Songs That Happened When You Left Me With My Stupid Heart, which will be out August 31 via Lucky Number. You can check out the lyric video for the vocoder-heavy first single “The World’s Best Kisser,” below. He’s also announced a 2018 tour, including North American dates this fall. He’ll play NYC’s Rough Trade on November 10. Head here for all dates and tickets.

UK band Girl Ray were here this past spring, touring with Porches finishing their trip with a BrooklynVegan-presented headline show at Union Pool. They’ll be back in NYC this summer for what appears to be a one-off show at Baby’s All Right on July 11 (tickets). Meanwhile, Girl Ray play this weekend’s Caring is Creepy festival in Margate, UK which is presented by Moshi Moshi records and features Teleman, Drahla, and more.


Speaking of, Teleman (featuring three ex members of Pete & The Pirates) will release their third album, Family of Aliens, this September on Moshi Moshi and you can check out the new video for single “Cactus” below. They’ve just announced a fall UK tour and all dates are listed here.

Dates and lineup appear to have leaked for the annual Summer Slaughter tour, which will be headlined by Between the Buried and Me this year.


The 2018 Warm Up lineup is out, featuring A-Trak, Gang Gang Dance, SOB x RBE, Lizzo, Maxo Kream, Ikonika, Buddy, Amber Mark, Laff Trax (Toro y Moi + Nosaj Thing), JPEGMAFIA, Leon Vynehall, World’s Fair, Kelsey Lu and much more.


Swedish doomers Monolord are coming to North America for Psycho Las Vegas and some dates opening for Red Fang, and they’ve now added headlining dates too, including Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 9/10. All dates HERE. Their latest album is 2017’s Rust on RidingEasy Records, and you can stream that below:
