DAVID CROSBY

Rock icon David Crosby toured last fall for his album Here If You Listen, and he’s just announced more US tour dates happening this spring, accompanied by his Sky Trails backing band. The tour kicks off with a Minneapolis stop in March, before making two NJ stops in Red Bank and Pennsauken, and further shows in Woodstock, St. Louis, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Nashville, Beverly, Alexandria, and lots more. David’s also got a documentary coming out, titled David Crosby: Remember My Name, and he’ll be promoting it as a keynote speaker at SXSW in March. OPEN MIKE EAGLE / SAMMUS

Chicago rapper Open Mike Eagle, whose What Happens When I Try To Relax landed on our 30 Best Rap Albums of 2018 list, just revealed some spring 2019 US tour dates happening on the East Coast and Midwest. He’ll be joined by Sammus and Video Dave on all dates, which includes stops in Brooklyn (Rough Trade on 4/3), Chicago, Atlanta, Cambridge, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Tallahassee, and more. Tickets go on sale Friday (2/22), and you can view all those dates here.

UNDERDOG

Underdog, the veteran NYHC band who also dabbled in reggae and traditional rock sounds, are playing just a few shows this year. They’re on the lineup for Richmond’s United Blood Festival, and a hometown gig at The Kingsland on June 8. Vocalist Richie Birkenhead’s band Into Another have upcoming shows too.

HIRS

Philly queer grindcore collective HIRS are opening part of the pg.99/Majority Rule tour, playing some shows with the reunited Racetraitor (who are also opening 108’s NYC shows), and doing a run of headlining shows. They’ll be in NYC on May 16 at The Safari Room at El Cortez with Coherence and Choked Up. All dates here.

FEELS (DATES WITH EX HEX, BODEGA, MORE)

L.A. punks Feels will release their new album, Post Earth, this Friday and will be on tour starting in the UK in March plus dates in Europe. Once the cross back on the Atlantic, Feels will begin their North American tour with Mary Timony’s band Ex Hex. When that wraps up, Feels will head up to NYC for a show at Mercury Lounge on May 6 with Bodega. All dates are listed here.

MR. TWIN SISTER / SATEEN

Brooklyn-based electronic pop band Mr. Twin Sister released their very solid third LP Salt late last year (which just got a new vinyl pressing), and they’ve just announced a run of US shows with support from past tourmates Sateen in May. Stops include Baltimore, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, New Orleans, and more, with a final stop at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on 5/17 (with Ava Luna). STEREOLAB

The newly-reactivated Stereolab announced a lengthy international tour for 2019, with a North American leg beginning in September.

THE LONELY ISLAND

Comedy trio The Lonely Island have finally announced their first-ever tour, which hits Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre and another TBA NYC venue in June.

DAUGHTERS

After wrapping up their current tour in Brooklyn next month, Daughters will return to the East Coast in June for shows in Pittsburgh, Asbury Park, Hamden, CT and Portland, ME.

STEPHEN MALKMUS

Stephen Malkmus added more solo dates behind his upcoming electronic album Groove Denied, including new dates in NYC, Chicago, and more.

CRAIG FINN

The Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn announced a tour supporting his upcoming solo album I Need A New War, including two NYC dates at Joe’s Pub in June.

INTER ARMA

Genre-defying metal greats Inter Arma, whose new album Sulphur English is out soon, just added a Brooklyn release show following their appearance at Philly’s Decibel Metal & Beer Fest Pre-Show in April.

NILUFER YANYA

UK artist Nilüfer Yanya added a stop at NYC’s Rough Trade in July, while she’s currently out opening for Sharon Van Etten.

PILE

Pile revealed 2019 tour dates surrounding their upcoming Boston Calling appearance in May, including shows with C.H.E.W., Halfsour, and State Champion.

(Sandy) Alex G is hitting the road once again for a short East Coast run with Tomberlin in May, including stops in Asbury Park, Ithaca, and others.
