The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

SEAN BONNETTE (OF AJJ) / SHELLSHAG

AJJ’s Sean Bonnette is hitting the road for a solo tour, and he’s bringing along long-running DIY duo Shellshag, which is a great pairing. The tour is just of the Northeast and hits Hamden, Long Island, Brooklyn (two nights), Asbury Park, Philly, and Woodstock. More info here.

DRAKE VEGAS RESIDENCY

Vegas residencies continue to be all the rage, and as Drake first revealed in January, he’s officially doing a residency at the XS Nightclub. Though it’s “not the traditional residency,” says Alex Cordova, Executive Vice President and Managing Partner of Nightlife for the venue. He’s playing there on May 4 & 18 this year, and has TBA 2020 performances. You can learn more at Rolling Stone.

THE NATIONAL

The National are doing some touring this year, including an appearance at Bonnaroo, and today announced a series of “Special Evening with The National” shows happening in NYC, LA, Toronto, Paris and London.

BEACH FOSSILS

Beach Fossils are heading to Coachella in April and will tour after its two weekends, hitting Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Norman, OK, Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Most dates are with Why Bonnie and a few are also with George Clanton. They’ve also just added a NYC-area show, playing Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on May 31. DESPISE YOU

Powerviolence vets Despise You were announced on two festivals today, DC’s Damaged City (with Screaming Females, Hank Wood, Devil Master, Inmates, and more) and LA’s Sound & Fury (with the reunited Have Heart, Power Trip, Fury, Basement, and more). No word on other 2019 dates for Despise You yet, but stay tuned.

UFO

Hard rock/proto-metal greats UFO are going on a 50th anniversary tour, and original vocalist Phil Mogg is leaving the band after the tour, so this may very well be your last chance to see him. The tour includes a Manhattan show on 10/30 and a Staten Island show with Blue Oyster Cult on Halloween.

TŌTH

Tōth, aka Brooklyn artist and Rubblebucket co-founder Alex Toth, will release his debut solo album, Practice Magic And Seek Professional Help When Necessary, on May 10 via Northern Spy. The record was born from being cooped up in his apartment with a broken foot, resulting in an ethereal folk-rock sound. You can check out three songs from the album below. Tōth begins his solo tour tonight in Detroit, and then heads to Chicago, Omaham, Denver, Austin, a NYC show (Trans-Pecos on 3/11), Santa Fe, and other cities. All dates are here.

COMBO CHIMBITA

Brooklyn’s Combo Chimbita, who describe their funky mix of styles “tropical futurism,” will release their first album for ANTI- this spring and and will tour in support of it starting in May and includes dates in New Haven, Brooklyn (5/4 @ Elsewhere Hall), DC, Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, L.A., San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Boise, Pittsburgh, Philly, Montreal, and more. They’ll also play SXSW in March — head here for all dates.

HER’S

UK duo Her’s, who sound like The Strokes if they liked ’80s alt and pop more than ’70s Tom Petty and Television, will soon be on tour around SXSW.
