FAITH NO MORE

Faith No More are playing their first shows in five years in 2020, and they continue to gradually add dates. After announcing a few Europe festivals, they added UK headline dates. All are listed here.

MILLENNIUM TOUR w/ OMARION, BOW WOW, YING YANG TWINS, SOULJA BOY & MORE

With 2020 around the corner, the turn of the millennium is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary so Y2K-era nostalgia unsurprisingly in full effect. That includes this nostalgia tour co-headlined by Omarion and Bow Wow that also features 2000s hip hop and R&B stars Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie, Pretty Ricky, and Soulja Boy. (Earlier this year, the same tour happened and was headlined by a reunion from Omarion’s former group B2K.) KAYO DOT / PSALM ZERO

NYC experimental/metal/more band Kayo Dot have announced a 2020 tour supporting this year’s Blasphemy and they’ll be joined by fellow NYC experimental/metal/more band Psalm Zero. That great double bill ends with a show in their shared hometown on 3/22 at Mercury Lounge. All dates here.

A.A WILLIAMS

London dream-folk singer A.A. Williams, who put out her self-titled debut EP on Holy Roar earlier this year and a collaborative song with MONO this past weekend, has a bunch of touring plans. She’s playing one of MONO’s 20th anniversary shows in London this month, which falls in the midst of her Europe tour with Cult of Luna and Brutus. In 2020, she’ll play her debut headline show, and she also is opening Sisters of Mercy’s tour and Nordic Giants’ tour.

THE SISTERS OF MERCY

Speaking of…Andrew Eldritch, Doktor Avalanche and the rest of Sisters of Mercy haven’t visited the U.S. and Canada in a long time but continue to tour just about everywhere else, and they’ll be out in Europe and the UK in March (some of those dates are with the above-mentioned A.A.Williams). ALI WONG

Comedian Ali Wong has added a fifth NYC show to her show to ‘Milk & Money Tour’, and that happens April 4 at Beacon Theatre. The four previous shows at the same venue are all but sold out.

KAMASI WASHINGTON

Jazz great Kamasi Washington playing Wilco’s Sky Blue Sky festival in Mexico in Januaray, and then going on a headlining tour.

JILL SCOTT (WHO IS JILL SCOTT 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR)

Neo-soul great Jill Scott is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album on tour in 2020.

ALANIS MORISSETTE (JAGGED LITTLE PILL) / GARBAGE / LIZ PHAIR

Alanis Morissette is doing a 25th anniversary tour for her classic Jagged Little Pill in 2020 with support from fellow ’90s alt-rockers Garbage and Liz Phair (both of whom she also toured with in 1998).

SOUL ASYLUM / LOCAL H

Need more ’90s alt-rock vets? Soul Asylum and Local H are teaming up for a late winter tour that kicks off February 11 in Milwaukee and wraps up March 18 in Oklahoma City, with stops along with way in Detroit, Chicago, NYC, Philly, Nashville, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and more.

JULIANA HATFIELD

Still not enough? Juliana Hatfield will be on the road in early 2020, beginning January 16 in Chicago and wrapping up in Brooklyn on Valentine’s Day, with stops in between in Nashville, Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Milwaukee, and more.

LITTLE DRAGON

Little Dragon will be back in North America this spring and their tour hits NYC, DC, Philly, New Haven, Boston, Montreal, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles and Santa Ana. They sold out their April 18 show at Brooklyn Steel, so they’ve added a second date at the venue on April 17.

NIGHTMARES ON WAX

Nightmares on Wax‘s second album, Smokers Delight, came out via Warp in 1995 and offered up a chilled-out mix of jazz, trip hop, and soul. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, main man George Evelyn will be taking the album on the road and performing it in full.

YASIIN BEY

Yasiin Bey has been celebrating the 20th anniversary of Black on Both Sides, his solo debut as Mos Def. He played Brooklyn Steel in October, and plays Sony Hall over Thanksgiving Weekend. He’s added a few more shows, including Philly and another NYC show.
