FATHER JOHN MISTY

Father John Misty’s new album, God’s Favorite Customer, is out June 1 via Sub Pop and he’ll be touring starting with this weekend’s The National’s Homecoming festival in Cincinnati, and he’ll be in NYC in July for Panorama. His 2018 schedule also includes a show at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl with Gillian Welch and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater with TV on the Radio. For all FJM dates and tickets, head here. FLEETWOOD MAC

After parting ways with Lindsey Buckingham, Fleetwood Mac have announced 2018/2019 tour dates. Lindsey’s replacements are Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Neil Finn (Crowded House), and the band is promising to break out some early material on this tour.

WEEDEATER / ZEKE / SIERRA / UNSANE

Back-in-action Seattle punk vets Zeke recently returned from hiatus with their new album Hellbender on Relapse, and while they have been touring Europe, we mentioned that we were patiently waiting for North American dates to be announced. Now the wait is up, as Zeke have announced a North American tour supporting stoner metal greats Weedeater! Sierra are also opening all but one date, and there are three Texas shows with post-hardcore lifers Unsane. All dates and tickets HERE.

EELS

Alt-rock vets Eels released new album The Deconstruction earlier this month which was their first in four years. The band’s tour starts May 28 in Pomona, CA and hits NYC on June 9 at Brooklyn Steel. They’ve add a few shows since our last post and all dates and tickets are here.

HARI KONDABOLU / KONDABOLU BROTHERS

Hari Kondabolu, who you may know from The Problem with Apu and his forthcoming Netflix special, is currently on a standup tour that runs through mid-May. During the tour, he’s also got a few live tapings of The Kondabolu Brothers, the Earwolf podcast he co-hosts with his brother Ashok (who you may know as Dapwell of Das Racist). The tour wraps up with a Kondabolu Brothers podcast taping at Brooklyn’s Littlefield on May 13. All dates and ticket links are here.

FURY / RED DEATH

Hardcore bands Fury (who recently signed to Run For Cover) and Red Death are opening the Power Trip/Sheer Mag tour, including the sold-out Brooklyn show on May 10 at Elsewhere, and they play their own smaller Brooklyn show the day before that at Saint Vitus (5/9). (Power Trip and Sheer Mag also play another Elsewhere show that night with different openers.) All Fury dates and more info HERE.

LEON BRIDGES

Ahead of his big 2018 tour — which includes two nights at Radio City Music Hall in NYC — Leon Bridges will celebrate his new album Good Stuff with very intimate release shows at L.A.’s The Troubadour and NYC’s Rough Trade. Updated dates are here.

SMOKE DZA / BODEGA BAMZ

New York rappers Smoke DZA and Bodega Bamz have announced a tour together, which culminates in a hometown show on July 1 at SOB’s. All dates HERE. Both Smoke DZA and Bodega Bamz are fresh off releasing new albums, Not For Sale and PAPI, respectively. NAS

Nas is gradually expanding his tour schedule, which includes some cool festivals and big one-offs, including shows with Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, Method Man & Redman, Black Star, and more.

ESPERS / VETIVER

The great psych-folk revivalists Espers are playing their first shows in nine years with their old pals Vetiver, including an appearance at Huichica East and a couple Northeast club shows.

SASAMI

Former Cherry Glazerr keyboardist Sasami Ashworth makes her own high-quality indie rock as SASAMI. She’s currently wrapped up a tour with Baths and No Joy and will hit the road with King Tuff and Cut Worms soon.

SAM EVIAN / BUCK MEEK

Sam Evian and Big Thief’s Buck Meek both have albums coming out soon and will be on tour together in June, including a Northside show at Rough Trade. You can check out a new Buck Meek song here, and Sam also just released “IDGAF” from his new album for Saddle Creek which you can listen to right here:

THE KILLERS

The Killers have a bunch of tour dates coming up, including headlining festival appearances (like NYC’s Panorama), and Turner’s (formerly Adult Swim’s) annual Upfront Week party at NYC’s Terminal 5.

THE HORRORS

Apart from a couple NYC shows last fall, The Horrors didn’t tour North America in 2017 in support of their fifth album, V, but will do so in June, including two NYC-area shows.

GUIDED BY VOICES

Ohio indie rock greats Guided by Voices have added August tour dates to their 2018 schedule, including a show at Asbury Lanes, and Industry City in Brooklyn as part of The Bell House Summer Series (which also includes Luna, Kevin Morby, Kevin Devine, The Soul Rebels, and more).

TIM BARRY

Former Avail frontman Tim Barry has a bunch of upcoming tour dates, including shows with The Bouncing Souls, The Gaslight Anthem, Frank Turner, Restorations, Roger Harvey, and more.

THE SMOKING POPES

Back-in-action alt-rock greats The Smoking Popes are touring this year, including 20th anniversary shows for Destination Failure, an appearance at The Bouncing Souls’ “Stoked for the Summer” show in Asbury Park, and dates with Descendents.
