THE FLAMING LIPS

The Flaming Lips, who have a collaborative album with Deap Vally on the way, have announced 2020 West Coast tour dates, aimed at more intimate theaters than they normally play. There are April shows in Spokane, WA and Missoula, MT and then June shows in Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday, December 13 at 10 AM local time.

MADNESS

UK ska and pop greats Madness are currently celebrating their 40th anniversary, and as part of that they’ve just announced North American tour dates surrounding their appearance at Punk Rock Bowling, including shows in Boston, NYC, and Oakland, CA.

KING GIZZARD AND THE LIZARD WIZARD

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard will be back in North America this spring, and have just announced a lot more tour dates, including stops in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, NYC, DC, and Philadelphia. BrooklynVegan has presales for the NYC and Philly shows.

BIKINI KILL

The reunited Bikini Kill have been rolling out 2020 tour dates, and now they’ve added even more, including Oakland, CA’s Burger Boogaloo in July, and shows at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park for BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival in August, Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheater in October.

LADY LAMB (WITH STRINGS)

Lady Lamb will be playing some very special shows in March, where Aly Spaltro will be backed by four string players. The tour stops in at City Winery locations in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Boston, DC, PHilly and finally in NYC at the new City Winery on 3/25. Head here for all dates and tickets.

JOEY CAPE

Lagwagon/Bad Astronaut frontman and long-running solo artist Joey Cape is going on an East Coast solo acoustic tour in February, which includes three Florida shows with Zach Quinn (PEARS) and Baltimore, Philly, Brooklyn, and Long Island shows with Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners, Hot Water Music). SHERYL CROW

Sheryl Crow and Usher will be performing at New Orleans’ AllState Fan Fest for the central time zone celebration of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and Sheryl will also hit the road in 2020, including NYC-area stops on 4/17 at the Capitol Theatre and 4/20 at Beacon Theatre. BLOOD ORANGE

Dev Hynes has announced a short Blood Orange tour for March 2020, which kicks off at Florida’s Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival and then hits Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, DC, and finally a big NYC show at Radio City Music Hall.

PUSS N’ BOOTS

Puss N’ Boots, aka Sasha Dobson, Norah Jones, and Catherine Popper, have announced what they’re calling two “sister shows” in NYC where they’ll be playing a lot of new music. They happen February 14 at Rough Trade and February 15 at Bowery Ballroom. Before that, they’ll play their annual Christmas Extravaganza at Music Hall of Williamsburg on December 20.

THE MAUSKOVIC DANCE BAND

Dutch group The Mauskovic Dance Band, which is led by Nic Mauskovic who also plays in Altin Gun and the current lineup of Zamrock band W.I.T.C.H., mix various style of dance music (no wave, afrobeat, post-punk, disco, krautrock), as can be heard on their self-titled 2019 album. The band will be coming to North American in the Spring for SXSW and will be touring on either side of the festival. THE BOMBPOPS / MAKEWAR / PASS AWAY

San Diego pop punks The Bombpops are hitting the Midwest and East Coast in 2020, including one leg with Tightwire and Billy Liar and another with MakeWar and Pass Away. The latter includes shows in Asbury Park (AP Brewery on 3/29), Brooklyn (Saint Vitus on 4/3), Boston, Baltimore, Philly, and more. All dates here.

THE SOUL REBELS

NOLA brass ensemble The Soul Rebels have announced the ‘Poetry In Motion’ winter tour, which begins with a New Year’s run (12/30 & 12/31) in Philly, which includes Matisyahu on night one. In 2020, they’re hitting the Havana Jazz Festival with Tank & The Bangas & Cimafunk, Chapel Hill with Big Freedia, two nights at NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl with special guests, and more. TIM AND ERIC

Tim and Eric are going on the “Mandatory Attendance World Tour” in 2020, offering up “brand new spoofs, goofs and insanity, and some very special surprises we can’t talk about right now.” They’ve added more dates, including new/additional shows in Los Angeles, NYC, Vancouver and Washington, DC.

PETE DAVIDSON

SNL cast member, comedian and dater of lots of famous women Pete Davidson has announced some shows happening this month in Philadelphia and New York City. Note: you may have to sign a $1 million NDA to attend.

U.S. GIRLS (FT. SEVEN SINGERS)

U.S. Girls released the excellent In A Poem Unlimited in 2018, and Meg Remy was joined by an eight-piece band for a series of mind-blowing shows supporting it. For 2020, the U.S. Girls live experience will evolve once again: they’ve announced a few February North American dates that will feature a whopping seven singers on stage.

MAYHEM, ABBATH, GATECREEPER & IDLE HANDS

The LA edition of metal mag Decibel’s festival goes down this weekend (12/13-12/14 with Possessed, Nails, Vio-lence, Carcass, Gatecreeper, Sprit Adrift, and more), and today Decibel have also announced that an LA date has been added to the upcoming 2020 Decibel tour that features the unfuckwithable lineup of Mayhem, Abbath, Gatecreeper and Idle Hands. Tickets for the new March 23 show at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles are now on sale. Updated dates (including Decibel’s 2020 Philly fest and NYC’s Webster Hall on April 4) here. Mayhem are also playing Hellfest and Psycho Las Vegas next year.

TANYA TUCKER

Country legend Tanya Tucker will be spending much of 2020 headlining the “CMT Next Women of Country: Bring My Flowers Now Tour.” Joining her at various stops on the tour will be  CMT’s Next Women of Country alum, including Aubrie Sellers, Brandy Clark, Erin Enderlin, Hailey Whitters, Madison Kozak and Walker County.

THUNDERCAT

Thundercat added a second NYC show to his 2020 North American tour, and also announced a Europe/UK tour. All dates here.

AGAINST ME! / STEF CHURA

Against Me! announced a 2020 tour with Stef Chura, which culminates in Against Me!’s appearance at Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival.

DEAFHEAVEN / INTER ARMA / GREET DEATH or ALL YOUR SISTERS

Deafheaven announced a 10th anniversary tour with killer support from Inter Arma on almost all dates, and additional support varying by date from Greet Death and All Your Sisters (plus a few Texas shows with Greet Death and All Your Sisterrs but no Inter Arma).

BRIAN FALLON / JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE / WORRIERS

The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon and Worriers both announced new albums today, and they also announced a tour together that also includes Justin Townes Earle.
