MOUSE ON THE KEYS / TERA MELOS

Japanese post-rock/jazz group Mouse on the Keys released their newest LP Tres on Topshelf Records back in May, and they just announced a North American tour with math rockers Tera Melos. The tour stops at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall on 11/17, along with shows in Chicago, Montreal, Denver, and more. Tera Melos will also be accompanying Minus the Bear on their farewell tour this fall. MDC

Punk legends MDC put out Mein Trumpf back in 2017, their first album in 13 years, and they’ve since expanded their tour in support of the record. They’ll be performing in many cities across North America, including a stop at Brooklyn’s Safari Room at El Cortez on 10/5 with support from local punk vets Urban Waste, along with other shows in Houston, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, and more. AMINE / BUDDY

West Coast rappers Amine and Buddy are touring together this fall in support of their respective 2018 albums, ONEPOINTFIVE and Harlan & Alondra. All dates (including NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on 11/26) here.

G HERBO

Chicago rapper G Herbo (fka Lil Herb) recently released a new album, Swervo, which is a collaboration with producer Southside and which features 21 Savage, Chief Keef, Young Thug, and Juice WRLD. He now put out a video for “Pac n Dre” off that album, and announced a lengthy coast-to-coast tour supporting it, with special guests Southside and Queen Key. THE LADIES OF LCD SOUNDSYSTEM

Nancy Whang and Gavin Rayna Russom, who both play lots of instruments in LCD Soundsystem, will head out together on the “Ladies of LCD Soundsystem” DJ tour this fall, with part of the ticket sales going to RAINN.

WYCLEF JEAN

Wyclef Jean has a number of US dates coming up, such as a previously-announced NYC show at Sony Hall on 9/6. He’s just added a new NYC-area show at Newark’s NJ PAC on 10/16, and he’ll also be stopping in Kansas City, Washington D.C., Providence, and more cities. View all upcoming dates here.

PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS

Hip hop duo People Under The Stairs are set to play a few North American shows this fall, which includes a show at Brooklyn’s Industry City Courtyard 1/2 on 9/14. They only have three other US shows currently in California and Massachusetts, but more dates may be TBA. (All known dates here.) They also just dropped a new single, “Drinkin and Jivin,” which you can stream:

HISS GOLDEN MESSENGER

Folk outfit Hiss Golden Messenger, led by songwriter MC Taylor, recently announced a North American tour supporting 2017’s Hallelujah Anyhow. The band will make a stop at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on 12/18, along with other shows in Los Angeles, Nashville, Philadelphia, and other cities. View all dates here.

THE BETHS

New Zealand band The Beths, who just released their terrific debut LP, will be touring North America this fall.

TIERRA WHACK

Tierra Whack is one of the most buzzed-about new rappers of the year, and she continues to expand her tour schedule, which currently includes three NYC shows. She tours with 6LACK (including his Hammerstein Ballroom show), she plays Spotify’s “RapCaviar Live” show with Chance the Rapper and Sheck Wes, and she plays the Genius IQ/BBQ with 2 Chainz and Princess Nokia.

THE BLAZE

French dance music duo The Blaze have been generating some steady buzz over the years, mostly thanks to their cinematic music videos, one of which even received praise from Moonlight director Barry Jenkins. They’re set to release their debut LP Dancehall on 9/7 via RCA Records, and they’ve also announced a tour behind the album, which stops at NYC’s Knockdown Center on 10/3. The duo will also be playing shows in Seattle, San Francisco, Montreal, and more. Full list of dates here, and you can hear their new single “Faces” below.

SYSTEMATIC DEATH / BASTARD NOISE

Japanese hardcore legends Systematic Death are celebrating their 35th anniversary with two Brooklyn shows with California noise vets Bastard Noise.

WILD PINK

NYC’s Wild Pink are having a great year, with the release of their very solid, heartland indie rock-leaning sophomore album Yolk in the Fur, and they continue to add more dates to their schedule. They play a headlining hometown show at Trans-Pecos on Friday (8/24) with Dryjacket and others, they tour with Restorations (including the Brooklyn show), and they open the NYC stops of The Dodos‘ and The Helio Sequence‘s tours. LIL BABY

Atlanta rapper Lil Baby released his debut album Harder Than Ever earlier this summer (which features the hit “Yes Indeed” with Drake), and he recently began an extensive North American tour. He’ll be hitting NYC’s Irving Plaza on 9/5, as well as additional shows in Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C., and many other cities. MIDGE URE

About to start the second leg of the “The Soundtrack Of Your Life” tour which has him out with fellow ’80s hitmaker Paul Young, onetime Ultravox frontman Midge Ure also has a few headlining shows in North America, including ones in Long Island and NJ in September and then two nights at NYC’s Iridium Room in December. He’s also got dates in the UK and Europe this fall. All dates are here.
