JONAH MATRANGA (FAR) / NATHAN GRAY (BOYSETSFIRE)

Jonah Matranga (Far, New End Original, onelinedrawing, etc) did a 20th anniversary tour for Far’s classic Water & Solutions last year, and he’ll be back to playing regular solo shows this spring. He’s going on a run in May with another veteran post-hardcore frontman turned solo artist, Nathan Gray of boysetsfire. The tour includes a Brooklyn show on May 17 at Gold Sounds, as well as stops in DC, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Detroit, Philly, and more. All dates here.

RACETRAITOR

Chicago hardcore vets Racetraitor are reunited and put out a great new album last year, and they continue to add more tour dates this year. In addition to opening for 108 in NYC this November, they’ve got a spring tour coming up including shows with HIRS and more. All spring tour dates (and more info on each show) here. INJURY RESERVE

Experimental rap trio Injury Reserve have two singles out from their anticipated new album on Loma Vista, and they’re bringing their killer live show to Brooklyn on April 24 at Elsewhere Zone One before going on an Australia/New Zealand tour in June. All dates here.

KURT VILE

Kurt Vile mainly has a few festival dates lined up for North America, but he did just announce a sweet NYC headlining show, playing SummerStage at Central Park with Dinosaur Jr and Cate Le Bon.

JOANNA NEWSOM

Joanna Newsom has added more shows in NYC, Philly, Chicago and Milwaukee for her upcoming solo tour.

AMON AMARTH / ARCH ENEMY / AT THE GATES / GRAND MAGUS

This quadruple bill of long-running Swedish metal bands is coming to North America. A BrooklynVegan presale for the NYC show starts Wednesday. More info here.

BEN FOLDS / CAKE

Ben Folds and Cake had such a good time on tour together last year, they’re doing it again in 2019. Dates kick off September 5 in Bonner, MT and runs through September 19 in Grand Prairie, TX, with stops in Las Vegas, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Austin and more. All dates are liste d here.

LOS LOBOS

Los Lobos are celebrating their 45th anniversary this year on tour, where they’ll  “be exploring the depths of their catalog in both acoustic and electric form.”  They’ll play Washington, DC on Tuesday (4/16) and have California dates this weekend. They’ve got shows all the way through the fall, including an East Coast run in October with stops in Westbury and Kingston, NY, and Collingswood, NJ. Head here for all dates.

LYNYRD SKYNYRD FAREWELL TOUR

Lynyrd Skynyrd are continuing their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour and keep expanding it, too. New dates include a NYC stop at Forest Hills Stadium on July 14 with Hank Williams, Jr on the bill as well. That’s a double bill that begs the question: are you ready for some Freebird? ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE

UK punk vets Anti-Nowhere League have upcoming dates, including two US shows: opening for The Original Misfits in LA and a headlining show in Brooklyn.

CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA

UK group Cinematic Orchestra recently released their first new album in 12 years, as well as announcing their first North American tour in nearly as long.

YBN CORDAE

YBN Cordae’s anticipated debut is “coming soon,” and the rapper just announced a tour, including SOB’s and much more.

TOMB MOLD / SUPERSTITION

20 Buck Spin labelmates Tomb Mold and Superstition are prepping new albums and touring together.

JAY-Z

Jay-Z currently has two upcoming shows. He’s playing re-opening night of NYC’s Webster Hall, and Woodstock 50.
