KERO KERO BONITO

Kero Kero Bonito have blossomed from their initial days as a smaller electronic-based project to a full live band, and they’ll be taking their energetic live show on the road across the US this April. Aside from their previously-announced appearance at Coachella, the band will be making stops in Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, Portland, and many others. Head here for all upcoming dates.

MONEYBAGG YO

Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo revealed a bunch of North American tour dates behind his recent debut album RESET, including stops in Chicago, NYC (Irving Plaza on 3/14), Los Angeles, Detroit, Philly, Atlanta, and more, before a final stop in his hometown of Memphis in May (venue TBA). Tickets go on sale Friday (1/18) at 10 AM local time, and you can find all dates here.

ALEX ZHANG HUNGTAI (DIRTY BEACHES)

Alex Zhang Hungtai has been fairly prolific since retiring his Dirty Beaches moniker, and he’ll be playing a few upcoming US shows later this year. He’ll be making a stop at Brooklyn’s The Mission on 3/14, in addition to further North American dates in Seattle and Portland, and two European shows in London and Hamburg. View all upcoming dates here.

DIVA SWEETLY / OSO OSO

North Carolina punks Diva Sweetly are hitting the road with fellow catchy rockers Oso Oso for a few northeastern US dates. They’ll be making two NYC-area stops at Brooklyn’s Gold Sounds on 2/13 and Long Island’s Amityville Music Hall on 2/16, in addition to other dates in Philly and Boston. Tickets go on sale Friday (1/18), and you can view all upcoming dates here.

ZETA

UPDATE (1/22): Zeta had scheduled a tour in support of 2018’s great Magia Infinita, but they sadly had to cancel their dates. The band — aka Juan Ricardo Yilo (vocals, guitar, percussion), Dani Hernadez Saud (guitar, percussion), Gabriel Quintero Duque (bass), Jerry Cevallos Vergara (drums), Dorian Mila (percussion), Eduardo Sandoval (percussion) — make experimental, percussion-heavy, genre-defying post-hardcore that fans of At The Drive In or Circle Takes The Square will probably dig. They formed in Venezuela, but they came to the US to tour two years ago after filing with US Customs as touring musicians, and they’ve been touring nonstop since, and are now working to become permanent US citizens, but they’ve sadly hit a roadblock as Dani — who co-founded the band in 2003 — has been denied residency and only has a short time to successfully appeal or he’ll be forced to leave the country (you can read more here). Zeta have no plans to perform without him, so we’re hoping this gets worked out.

MONKS OF DOOM (VICTOR KRUMMENACHER OF CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN)

Victor Krummenacher of Camper Van Beethoven will be having a very busy 2019. CVB are on tour in this month, and he’s got a solo album, Blue Pacific , due out in March. He’ll also pull double duty this spring on a tour where he’ll play solo as the opening act for his other band, Monks of Doom. Following some solo headlining dates in California, Victor and Monks of Doom hit US cities like Savannah, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Madison, and more. Find all dates here, and stream Victor’s newest single “Skin & Bones” below.

FLOGGING MOLLY / FACE TO FACE

As previously posted, Flogging Molly will be touring the US with Lucero beginning next month, and the band also revealed the date of their fifth-annual St. Patrick’s Day show, which is at LA’s Hollywood Palladium on 3/17. That show is with long-running California punk Face to Face (who are also doing full-album shows in various cities including NYC). Tickets go on sale Thursday (1/17) at 10 AM PST.

THE BARR BROTHERS

Montreal-based folk-rock outfit The Barr Brothers are touring their home country of Canada next month (including some full album shows in Toronto and Montreal), and afterwards they’ll be coming stateside for a mini-tour, which hits NYC (Murmrr Theatre on 3/21), Philly, Washington D.C., and Cambridge. All dates can be found here.

TORSO / IMPULSO / LOW VISION

California punks Tørsö are fresh off the release of their great new EP Build and Break, and they’ll be playing an NYC show at Brooklyn Bazaar on 4/9, which also features Italian rippers Impulso and Japanese hardcore band Low Vision on the bill, with NYC acts Exotica and Miedo rounding out the lineup. This is Tørsö’s only upcoming date at the moment.

THE DRUMS

The Drums announced a North American tour behind their upcoming LP Brutalism.

1919 (FIRST-EVER US SHOWS)

UK post-punk vets 1919, who were around long enough in the early ’80s to record a Peel Session, recently announced their second post-reunion LP, Futurecide, which is due out sometime later this year. In celebration of the album’s announcement, the band revealed a ton of tour dates, which includes their first-ever US tour dates in Oakland, NYC (Saint Vitus on 4/17 with Pawns and Noche Tras Noche), and Pittsburgh, as well as a bunch of UK shows in the spring. Check out all dates here and check out “Anxiety” from the new LP:
