KEVIN DEVINE / JOHN K SAMSON / SHANNEN MOSER

Kevin Devine and The Weakerthans frontman John K Samson put out a split 7″ last fall, and now they’re set to tour together. They’re hitting Philly, Woodstock, Hamden, and more, with Shannen Moser opening (very solid triple bill). All dates here. Kevin also has his previously announced, BrooklynVegan-presented St. Patrick’s Day shows in NYC and Boston, and John also plays a NYC show before opening for Frank Turner in Boston.

HATEBREED / OBITUARY / MADBALL / AGNOSTIC FRONT / PRONG / SKELETAL REMAINS / etc

Metalcore vets Hatebreed added a second leg to their 25th anniversary tour. The new leg features Florida death metal vets Obituary, NYC metal vets Prong, and Skeletal Remains on all dates, plus the first half is with NYHC vets Madball and the second half is with another veteran NYHC crew, Agnostic Front. As mentioned, the first leg (with Obituary, Cro-Mags, Terror, and Fit For An Autopsy) includes a NYC show on 4/19 at Playstation Theater. All dates here.

THUNDERCAT

Thundercat is in town and beginning his 14-show residency at Blue Note Jazz Club tonight (2/12). The shows are mostly sold out, but a limited amount of tickets will be available at doors and you can still reserve bar seats for some shows.

ANGELO DE AUGUSTINE

Singer/songwriter Angelo de Augustine added a NYC show for May 17 at Park Church Co-Op and he also has other dates (mostly overseas) coming up. All are listed here.

FATHER JOHN MISTY & JASON ISBELL AND THE 400 UNIT

J Tillman and J Isbell are teaming up for what looks to be a great co-headlining tour in June that includes a BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival show in Prospect park.

STEREOLAB

Stereolab haver re-grooped for their first live shows in 10 years and they just announced their first North American show, as part of this October’s Desert Daze Festival in California. Let’s hope there are lot more shows still to be announced.

BLACKPINK

Super popular K-pop/rap/R&B group BLACKPINK are coming to North America for their first headlining tour here, including a NYC-area show on May 1 at Newark’s Prudential Center, as well as stops in LA, Chicago, Atlanta, and more. All dates here. They were also just on Colbert:

MEG BAIRD & MARY LATTIMORE

Meg Baird and Mary Lattimore, who released collaborative album Ghost Forests last year, just wrapped up dates opening for Steve Gunn and have now announced a spring tour together. Dates are in two sections: an East Coast run in April including Charlotte, DC, two nights at Brooklyn’s Union Pool, Kingston, NY and Philly. Then in May they’ll play Zebulon in Los Angeles and San Francisco’s Swedish American Hall. Before that, Mary has dates with Deerhunter and The Messthetics. All dates are here.

BELLE & SEBASTIAN 

Much-loved UK band Belle & Sebastian will be on the road this summer, including dates with Ex Hex and Men I Trust.

GLEN HANSARD

With his new album The Wild Willing on the way, Glen Hansard has announced just a few U.S. shows — Boston, Philly, DC and NYC — with more to be announced.

A.A. BONDY

With his first new album in eight years on the way in May, A.A. Bondy has just announced  record release shows in Brooklyn (5/10 @ Rough Trade) and Los Angeles (5/15 @ Zebulon). That’s it for North American shows but Bondy will be heading to the UK and Europe right after those shows — all dates are here.

OHMME

Chicago duo Ohmme, who just released a new 7″, have upcoming shows with Speedy Ortiz and will continue with headlining dates after that. Stops include Indianapolis, Knoxville, Richmond, DC, Brooklyn (Rough Trade on April 19), Montreal, Detroit, Iowa City, and lots more Head here for all dates.

MARIA BAMFORD

Comedian Maria Bamford will be bringing her deft mix of the absurd and the serious on the road at select dates throughout 2019, Including Midwest dates this month, West Coast shows in March, and more North American dates this summer. She’s also parking herself at Brooklyn’s The Bell House for four shows across two night on October 18 & 19. All dates are here.

ART ALEXAKIS (EVERCLEAR), CHRIS COLLINGWOOD (FOUNTAINS OF WAYNE), MAX COLLINS (EVE 6) AND JOHN WOZNIAK (MARCY PLAYGROUND)

Everclear frontman Art Alexakis is leading a tour this spring that will team him with fellow ’90s alt-rock frontmen Chris Collingwood (Fountains of Wayne), John Wozniak (Marcy Playground) and Max Collins (Eve 6) where audience will hear their respective groups’ best-known songs, and the stories behind them. “I have been a huge fan of each of these artists for so long,” says Art. “Getting to showcase their singing and songwriting abilities in this way is going to be so special for all of us. These shows will still deliver a rock and roll energy, but in a way that our fans have never experienced. We can’t wait to have the opportunity to interact with our fans even more on this tour.” The tour kicks off May 1 in Walla Walla, WA and dates include Portland, San Francisco, Tempe, Albuquerque, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Boston, two NYC-area shows (5/29 @ The Paramount in Long Island and 5/30 at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre), Chicago and more. Mysterious masked and cloaked synthwave trio Magic Sword have some shows coming up, including in Asbury Park, Somerville, and Brooklyn (2/16 at Saint Vitus with Destryur). All dates here. Stream some recent singles here.

FOXING / NOW, NOW / DADDY ISSUES

Weyes Blood announced her first album for Sub Pop today, along with a lengthy tour of Europe, the UK, the US, and Canada.

The legendary Mavis Staples has several tour dates coming up, including three just-announced 80th birthday shows happening in Harlem, Nashville, and LA.

Frank Turner has many tour dates with many bands coming up, including a just-announced run of US shows that has killer support from Against Me!, Murder By Death, Tim Barry, and Rebuilder (varying by date).

COHEED & CAMBRIA / MASTODON (playing Crack the Skye) / EVERY TIME I DIE

Mastodon are playing their classic 2009 album Crack the Skye in full for its 10th anniversary on this tour, which Coheed & Cambria are headlining and Every Time I Die are opening. More info here.
