KORN

Korn recently did a tour with Alice In Chains, Underoath, and Ho99o9 in support of their new album The Nothing, and now they’ve announced another tour supporting the album for 2020. This one’s with a less appealing tourmate (Breaking Benjamin), and it hits Allentown, PA; Manchester, NH; Grand Rapids, MI; Columbus, OH; St Paul, MN; Green Bay, WI; North Little Rock, AR; Springfield, MO; Spokane, WA; Portland, OR; Reno, NV; Fresno, CA; and more. THE RACONTEURS

Jack White, Brendan Benson and the rest of The Raconteurs will continue their Help Us Stranger tour and head to South America and Mexico in mid-November. Before that they’ll  warm up with a few Southeast shows next week, including New Orleans, Birmingham, St. Augustine, and Miami. They’ve also got West Coast dates in December (Portland, San Jose) before heading to Hawaii for two shows in Honolulu. All dates are listed here.

JIMMY EAT WORLD

Jimmy Eat World recently released their very fun new album Surviving, and they’re about to begin a fall tour with Pronoun (NJ and Poughkeepsie included), and then play ALT 92.3’s “Not So Silent Night” holiday show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center with Vampire Weekend, Mumford & Sons, Cage the Elephant, Of Monsters and Men, and more. Now, they’ve added a 2020 tour, which includes one leg with JJ Wilde and one with White Reaper. Most of the dates are in Canada, and there are a few new US dates included too. All newly-added shows go on sale Friday (11/1). All dates here.

STURGILL SIMPSON & TYLER CHILDERS

Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers, who both recently released new albums, will team up in 2020 for “A Good Look’n Tour.” Dates kick off February 21 in Birmingham, AL and wrap up May 24 in Louisville, KY, hitting most U.S. and Canadian cities in between.

JOHN ZORN’S NEW MASADA QUARTET

John Zorn, along with Julian Lage (guitar), Jorge Roeder (bass) and Kenny Wollesen (drums), aim to “put Ornette Coleman and the Jewish scales together” as the New Masada Quartet. They’ll be at NYC’s Village Vanguard this week (October 29 – November 3) with two shows each night.

Richmond metal/sass/screamo band .gif from god recently released their very solid sophomore album approximation_of_a_human, and they’ve got some shows coming up, including a Brooklyn date at Gold Sounds this coming Monday (11/4). All dates here.

POP. 1280

Brooklyn gothy post-punks Pop. 1280 are gearing up to release new album Way Station on December 6 vai Weyrd Son Records. They’ve got a few tour dates right after the album’s out, including Montreal (12/12), Toronto (12/13), Ottawa (12/14), Chicago (12/16), Pittsburgh (12/17) and Brooklyn (12/18 @ Union Pool w/ Whimm and Cube). Check out new single “Under Duress”:
