The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

THE DODOS

In the time since The Dodos’ last album, 2015’s Individ, they covered American Football, released a new song for a charity comp, performed their beloved Visiter in full for its 10th anniversary, and singer Meric Long released a solo album as FAN. Now they’re back with a new album and tour. New album Certainty Waves comes out October 12 via Polyvinyl and you can hear the busy lead single “Forum” below. The tour includes stops in San Francisco, LA, Vancouver, Seattle, Kingston NY, Chicago, Philly, DC, and more, and wraps up at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on 11/16. All dates here.

LADY GAGA (VEGAS RESIDENCY)

Lady Gaga is doing a Las Vegas residency at Park Theater At Park MGM Las Vegas, with two different shows: “Lady Gaga Enigma” (“a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built as an experience unlike any other”) and “Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano” (“stripped-down versions of her hits as well as music from the Great American Songbook”). The residencies begin December 28, with 23 “Enigma” dates and four “Jazz & Piano” dates. More info, all dates, and tickets here.

KEN MODE / BIRDS IN ROW

Heavy post-hardcore bands KEN mode and Birds In Row are hitting the road together this fall, including a show at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 10/24, as well as stops in Philly, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, and more. All dates and tickets here. Birds In Row released their great sophomore album We Already Lost the World in July on Deathwish, and KEN mode are releasing their seventh album, Loved, on August 31 via Season of Mist. They just released “Not Soulmates” from that album. Listen:

JANELLE MONAE

Janelle Monae, who released her new album Dirty Computer earlier this year, has a bunch of shows and festivals coming up, including three in NYC: Afropunk Brooklyn, Bustle’s “Rule Breakers,” and Global Citizen Fest. She also plays Outside Lands in San Francisco this weekend, Philly’s Made In America, Austin’s ACL Fest, and more. All dates here.

GØGGS

Ripping garage punk supergroup GØGGS (Ty Segall, Chris Shaw of Ex-Cult, and Ty’s Fuzz bandmate Charles Moothart) will release their second album in September and have announced just a few live dates, all in California, for the same month. They’ll play L.A., San Francisco and Tustin — details here. Ty has other dates too.

SHOPPING

UK post-punk trio Shopping will be back in North America in September to play Hopscotch, Basilica Soundscape and OctFest and have announced more dates while they’re here. Dates include stops in Philadelphia, DC, Toronto, Montreal, the Boston area and more.

JAY ELECTRONICA / SLICK RICK / ROC MARCIANO

Jay Electronica still doesn’t have an album, but he does play shows sometimes including a one-off NYC gig on 9/18 at Sony Hall. That’s an awesome triple bill with rap legend Slick Rick and underground lifer Roc Marciano. Roc Marciano also plays Connecticut this Saturday (8/11) with GZA, Cappadonna, Meyhem Lauren, Conway, and Poppa Da Don.

RACETRAITOR

Chicago political hardcore vets Racetraitor reunited for shows and new music last year (still with drummer Andy Hurley, who has since gotten very famous as a member of Fall Out Boy) and they’ve now got a one-off benefit show happening at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 8/24 in support of migrant families detained at the border. The show also includes La Armada, Ache, and Skullcaster. Proceeds go to “Probar” (South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project). Another of Andy Hurley’s hardcore bands, SECT (which also features members of Earth Crisis, Catharsis, and others), opening Pig Destroyer’s NYC show in September.

HILARY WOODS

Dublin dark singer/songwriter Hilary Woods recently released her debut album Colt on Sacred Bones, which was co-produced by James Kelly (of Altar of Plagues and WIFE) and which should appeal to fans of Chelsea Wolfe, Marissa Nadler, and Emma Ruth Rundle. Hilary has now announced a short US tour, beginning at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 9/19 and wrapping up at Chicago’s Bohemian National Cemetery on 9/23. All dates here.

ATMOSPHERE

Slug and Ant dropped a new song and announced a lengthy tour today.

MUNICIPAL WASTE / HIGH ON FIRE / TOXIC HOLOCAUST / HAUNT

Crossover thrashers Municipal Waste and High on Fire announced a co-headlining tour with support from Toxic Holocaust and Haunt, one day after High on Fire announced a new album.

PETER BJORN AND JOHN

JOHN GRANT

With new album Love is Magic on the way this fall, John Grant will head out on his first North American tour in three years, including his biggest NYC show to date.

LOCAL H

TANK AND THE BANGAS / BIG FREEDIA

Funk/soul/spoken word/etc group Tank and the Bangas once opened for fellow New Orleans artist Big Freedia, and now they’re more popular than ever and going on a co-headlining tour with Freedia this fall. Naughty Professor is opening. All dates (including Brooklyn Steel on 10/21) here.
