LORD HURON

Lord Huron is currently in Europe touring behind this year’s great, psychedelic Vide Noir, and the band have recently added some 2019 North American spring dates, which include shows in two big venues: Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on 4/22, and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on 5/14. The band’s tour also hits Richmond, Atlanta, Louisville, Orlando, Phoenix, Charlotte, and many more. Find those dates listed here.

MARGO PRICE

As previously announced, Margo Price will be playing a special New Year’s Eve show at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, and she’s just added a second show in the NYC area beforehand, at NJ’s Asbury Lanes on 12/29. Margo’s tour also includes a huge opening gig for Jack White at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on 11/20, along with other shows in Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Tampa, among others. She’ll also be appearing at Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend in January. All dates can be found here.

PILL

Eclectic punks Pill are gearing up to release their new LP Soft Hell, which drops later this week. The band will play a NYC release show at Trans-Pecos on Thursday (10/18) with a pretty killer bill of headliner (and Beat Happening domo) Calvin Johnson, the fictional but awesome Mick Trouble, and Crushed Up. They’ll also play the Mexican Summer 10th anniversary at Pioneer Works on 11/17 with Ariel Pink, Allah-Las, Drugdealer, and more. Finally, Pill have a headline show at Rough Trade on December 14. Stream a couple songs from Soft Hell:

FILM SCHOOL

California-based shoegaze vets Film School released the expansive Bright to Death last month, marking their first full-length LP in eight years. The band has since announced a few fall tour dates across the western US, which includes stops in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland. Check out all those dates here.

THE LONE BELLOW / COURTNEY MARIE ANDREWS

Last week, The Lone Bellow announced their TRIIIO tour, an intimate series of shows which entails the band “doing new renditions of old songs, new renditions of new songs, other people’s songs…all the songs.” The band will hit many North American cities, including Buffalo, Montclair (Outpost In the Burbs on 11/3), Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, and others. The band will also appear at WFUV’s Holiday Cheer benefit show at NYC’s Beacon Theatre on 12/3, and close the tour with a New Year’s run at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom from 12/29-12/31, with exciting support from Courtney Marie Andrews on all three shows. REGGIE AND THE FULL EFFECT (SOLO) / ANDY JACKSON OF HOT ROD CIRCUIT (SOLO)

The Get Up Kids keyboardist James Dewees released his newest album with his project Reggie and the Full Effect earlier this year, and he’ll be touring solo with Hot Rod Circuit’s Andy Jackson, at which James promises fans will “get all the answers to every weird question about every weird song.” The tour stops in Los Angeles, NYC (Saint Vitus on 12/21), San Francisco, Fullerton, and Philadelphia. PART TIME

Next month, David Loca will release his newest LP as Part Time, Spell #6, whose singles are examples of sweet, 80s-inspired indie pop. He’ll be hitting the road for a few shows surrounding its release: first he’ll be appearing at Mexican Summer’s 10th anniversary party at Brooklyn’s Pioneer Works on 11/17, performing material from the albums What Would You Say? and PDA. He’s also added another Brooklyn show at Baby’s All Right on 11/18, and will play Sacramento’s Mini Peach Fest on 12/2.

DAVID CROSBY / JASON ISBELL

If you like it when David Crosby joined Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit at Newport Folk Fest,  they’re pairing up again to play Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 17, 2019. Tickets go on sale this Friday (10/19). The two artists shared an official recording of their Newport Folk Festival performance of “Wooden Ships” recently, and both artists have their own tour dates coming up; Jason Isbell is continuing his 2018 tour, including a run at Nashville’s Ryman Theater next week, and David Crosby’s upcoming tour hits NJ’s Bergen PAC on 12/5 and Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre on 12/8.

ATMOSPHERE

The veteran hip-hop duo of Slug and Ant are now touring North America, which includes an NYC show at Brooklyn Steel next Tuesday (10/23). They’ve recently added a bunch more tour dates in 2019, with newly-added cities including two homecoming shows in Saint Paul, as well as stops in Austin, Dallas, Albuquerque, Los Angeles, Portland, Des Moines, and much more. WAVVES / BEACH FOSSILS

Fellow sunny indie rockers Wavves and Beach Fossils are about to head out together on co-headlining tour, which hits NJ’s Asbury Lanes on 10/26 and Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on 10/30 and 10/31 (Halloween). They’ve now added a few West Coast dates as well in four California cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Anaheim, and San Diego. Head here for those new dates.

ADIA VICTORIA

Nashville songwriter Adia Victoria will return with a new LP, Silences, on February 22, which was co-produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner. She’ll be taking the album on the road as part of her “Dope Queen Tour,” which hits Philadelphia, NYC (record release show at Rough Trade on 2/22), Austin, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago, and many more cities. All dates are listed here, and you can stream “Dope Queen Blues,” the lead single from Silences, below.

SHARON VAN ETTEN / NILUFER YANYA

Sharon Van Etten announced a 2019 tour with Nilufer Yanya to support her anticipated new album Remind Me Tomorrow. The NYC show also has Fred Armisen on the bill.

RADAR STATE (GET UP KIDS, THE ANNIVERSARY)

New-ish supergroup Radar State (members of The Get Up Kids and The Anniversary are going on their first headlining tour this January, the same month their debut album comes out.

NENEH CHERRY

Neneh Cherry added LA and NYC shows happening ahead of her appearance at Art Basel. She also tours Europe in 2019.

ORBITAL

Long-running UK dance duo Orbital just released their first album in six years and announced they’ll play New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco in December.

2 DOPE QUEENS

Two more tapings for 2 Dope Queens‘ second season for HBO at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre were added, making for tour total. 2 Dope Queens Phoebe Robinson is also currently on a book tour.

SONIC YOUTH – DAYDREAM NATION SCREENINGS/Q&As

Sonic Youth have added screenings of Lance Bangs’ new Daydream Nation 30th anniversary film in other cities, including NYC with SY members Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley present for the Q&A.

MARK KOZELEK

Mark wrapped up his North American solo tour back in September and is on tour in Europe right now, but he does have a couple U.S. shows before the year’s out: he’s playing the San Francisco Leonard Cohen Festival in November, and he’ll team with actor Kevin Corrigan for an evening of Christmas songs in NYC in December. YANN TIERSEN

Composer Yann Tiersen, who you may know from his score for Amelie, has a new album on the way in February and will play shows in NYC and L.A. in May 2019.
