JASON ISBELL (NASHVILLE OPENERS)

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are once again doing a run of shows at The Ryman in Nashville in late October, and Jason revealed the all-Nashville openers: Molly Tuttle, JEFF the Brotherhood, Bully, Amanda Shires, Diarrhea Planet, and Melanie Faye. For Diarrhea Planet, this comes after they just recently broke up, but they’re calling this show a “victory lap.” Jason is also playing The National’s mini-fest in NYC. SPOTLIGHTS / THE LIFE AND TIMES

Brooklyn’s shoegazy Spotlights and Shiner offshoot The Life and Times are touring together in October. For Spotlights, these shows are in continued support of 2017’s Seismic (and its companion EP Hanging By Faith). The tour hits cities including Chicago, Detroit, and Philly, before finally stopping at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 10/25. View upcoming dates here.

SHILPA RAY

Punk-blues singer/songwriter Shilpa Ray has a few upcoming dates, which now includes a date opening for Hilary Woods at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 9/19 (Wax Idols’ Hether Fortune was also added to the bill). Before that, Shilpa Ray will also be appearing at NYC’s Bryant Park Accordion Festival on 9/13, at which Shilpa wants us to remember, “it’s not a harmonica, or a chord organ, it’s a HARMONIUM.”

HOODRICH PABLO JUAN

Gucci Mane protege Hoodrich Pablo Juan currently has two upcoming fall shows, including Brooklyn’s Market Hotel on 10/11, Dallas’ The Door on 10/27, and presumably more TBA. Stream his latest single:

MOUNTAIN MAN

As previously announced, Mountain Man will soon be touring in support of their first album in eight years, Magic Ship. In celebration of the album’s release, the band has recently added a free record release show/signing at NYC’s Rough Trade on 9/24. In related news, member Alexandra Sauser-Monnig has her own set of upcoming solo dates under the name ASM.

Low’s dynamic new album Double Negative is officially out this Friday (9/14), and they’ve just added many more dates to their upcoming tour, which now includes 2019 North American shows in Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver, Seattle, and more. Their previously-announced NYC shows are this month. You can see the full list of upcoming dates here.

MIDDLE KIDS / THE SHACKS

Australian indie pop act Middle Kids, who released their debut album earlier this year on Domino, will be back in North America in late fall to tour with The Shacks. Dates kick off November 30 at Bowery Ballroom and wrap up December 14 at Echoplex in Los Angeles. Head here for dates and tickets.

THE FELICE BROTHERS

Folk rockers The Felice Brothers have announced a show at NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl on 12/29, which follows an appearance at Vermont’s Smugglers’ Notch Festival in September, and a string of solo dates for vocalist Ian Felice. View all dates here.

JUNGLE BROTHERS

Hip hop pioneers Jungle Brothers will be playing a show at NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl on 10/26, following an appearance at Urban Matters Festival in the Netherlands in September. View their dates here.

TIGERS JAW

In addition to going on a 10th anniversary tour for their self-titled album, Tigers Jaw are throwing a one-day, Christmas/New Year’s week fest in Philly with Jeff Rosenstock, Land of Talk, Rainer Maria, The Hotelier, Sidney Gish, and Gladie.

EVERY TIME I DIE

Every Time I Die added a fourth NYC show to their tour after selling out the other three.

HAR MAR SUPERSTAR & SABRINA ELLIS DO THE SONGS OF ‘DIRTY DANCING’

It could be the time of your life, when Har Mar and Giant Dog’s Sabrina Ellis bring “Hungry Eyes,” “She’s Like the Wind” and the rest of the Dirty Dancing soundtrack to life on tour. Will the do the classic lift?

BROCKHAMPTON

Brockhampton added a third Terminal 5 show to their tour after selling out the other two.

DUSTER

Reunited indie vets Duster have added a second reunion show in Brooklyn. This is a headlining show, following their sold-out show opening for (Sandy) Alex G.

IDLES

Whiel IDLES kick off their North American tour with Bambara this Friday, they’ve already started to announce 2019 dates, including new NYC and DC shows.

CHER / CHIC

Cher’s 2019 tour supporting her ABBA covers album will be opened by Nile Rodgers & CHIC.
