GARBAGE

Garbage are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album Version 2.0 this year with an expanded reissue and tour where they’ll play the album in full along with b-sides from the reissue. The band are finishing up some European dates now and then head out across North America on 9/29, starting in Seattle. The month long trek hits many places along the way, including Fox Theater in Oakland on 10/3 and The Cap in Portchester on 10/20. The last U.S. date is at Kings Theater in Brooklyn, and then it’s a week in Mexico.

LUPE FIASCO

Lupe Fiasco’s new album Drogas Wave is out today and he’ll be supporting it on tour this fall.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE

Death Cab For Cutie’s new album Thank You For Today came out last month, and they’re beginning another leg of their tour today at Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful festival. The tour lands in Brooklyn for two Kings Theatre shows in October. All dates here. They also just played Ellen:

TRIBULATION / BLACK ANVIL / MORNE

Sweden’s Tribulation began their North American tour this week, supporting this year’s great Down Below. Having already played a few Midwest dates, they’re making their way to the West Coast, then the Southwest, then finally the East Coast including a Brooklyn show at Elsewhere Zone One on 10/12 with Black Anvil and Morne. (Most other dates are with proggy doom greats Pallbearer.) To coincide with the tour, they put a new video for “Nightbound” off the new album:

JONATHAN RICHMAN

Jonathan Richman will release new album, titled SA, which will be out digitally on October 1 via Blue Arrow Records, with physical versions due in early 2019. Just a few days after the album drops, Jojo will start his fall tour which includes four nights at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA and NYC-area shows in Jersey City and Kingston, NY. Updated tour dates are HERE.

REVEREND HORTON HEAT

With a new boogie-woogie-fueled album on the way, Reverend Horton Heat will be back on the road (not that he’s off the road much) soon with a fall tour with Junior Brown, The Blasters, and Big Sandy.

THE CRYSTAL METHOD

Veteran U.S. electronica act The Crystal Method released a new single today — “Ghost in the City” which you can stream below. Thir fall tour kicks off tonight in Philly, hits Brooklyn on Halloween at The Good Room and continues through early 2019. Head here for all dates.
