MADISON MCFERRIN

Soul singer Madison McFerrin is releasing a new EP called You + I on November 5, and while she used to make a cappella music (like her father), she is now utilizing full production and going by lead single “Try,” the new approach works wonders. Madison is also touring, including a hometown show on 12/4 at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right.

CARACARA

Philly indie/post-hardcore unit Caracara released their very good Better EP on Will Yip’s label earlier this year, and they’ve now got some upcoming shows, including the Philly stop of The Appleseed Cast’s tour, which is supporting that band’s great new album The Fleeting Light of Impermanence. Caracara also play a Brooklyn show at Alphaville on November 2 with Spirits of Leo, stillhungry, and Plight. All dates here.

IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE

Underground rap lifer Immortal Technique has a bunch of upcoming tour dates including Halloween at Red Rocks with Wu-Tang Clan, NJ’s Asbury Lanes on 11/27, NYC’s soon-to-close PlayStation Theater on 11/30, and much more.

POKEY LAFARGE

Twangy folk singer Pokey LaFarge, who released Manic Revelations back in 2017, will be out on a solo tour in November. He’ll play Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Pittsburgh, DC, Brooklyn (11/15 @ The Bell House), and Ardmore, PA. All dates are here.

HOT ROD CIRCUIT (playing SORRY ABOUT TOMORROW)

In addition to their previously announced Sorry About Tomorrow shows with Saves The Day (who will be playing Through Being Cool), emo vets Hot Rod Circuit added more performances of the classic album in Connecticut and Boston.

MUNICIPAL WASTE / NAPALM DEATH / SICK OF IT ALL / TAKE OFFENSE

This insane quadruple bill added a 2nd NYC date to their upcoming tour.

MADONNA

Madonna’s Madame X tour, which kicks off next month at Brooklyn’s BAM, has delayed its start by five days, with some shows reshuffled.

STICK TO YOUR GUNS opening for KNOCKED LOOSE

Knocked Loose already announced that they’d support their great new album A Different Shade of Blue on a tour that already had the stacked support lineup of Rotting Out, Candy, and SeeYouSpaceCowboy, and now they’ve also added direct support from Stick To Your Guns. All dates for this five-band bill are here. Meanwhile:

TAKING BACK SUNDAY

Taking Back Sunday will be at Bumbershoot this weekend, and Riot Fest later in September before starting their fall 20th anniversary tour that has them doing two-night stands in most cities where they’ll play Tell All Your Friends on both nights and they’ll flip a coin to see which night also gets Where You Want To Be and which gets Louder Now. They’ve also just announced their annual holiday spectacular at Starland Ballroom in NJ.

MODERN NATURE (MEMBERS OF ULTIMATE PAINTING, BEAK>, WOODS)

Modern Nature, the new group that includes Jack Cooper (Ultimate Painting, Mazes) and Will Young (BEAK>, Moon Gangs) and Aaron Neveu (Woods), just released their excellent debut album, How to Live and will tour in January.

KEVIN MORBY

Kevin Morby starts his “duo tour” with saxophonist Cochemea Gastelum (William Tyler opens on all dates) this weekend and has just added another NYC show to his tour which benefits mental health organizations.
