BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE

Broken Social Scene have tour dates from May through September, including a free Central Park show.

ANIMAL COLLECTIVE

Animal Collective added dates to their Sung Tongs tour, including a second NYC show.

MIRANDA LAMBERT

Miranda Lambert has been touring this year in continued support of her great 2016 double album The Weight of These Wings, and she now added another leg dubbed “The Bandwagon Tour” with Little Big Town. It now includes a Jones Beach show on July 19, plus stops in Houston, Hartford, Dallas, Philly, Chicago, Toronto, and more. All dates and tickets HERE. Watch her “Vice” video:

ELECTRIC WIZARD / R.I.P.

Stoner metal vets Electric Wizard’s US tour is fast approaching. Most dates are with Portland’s likeminded R.I.P., but Electric Wizard say support for the NYC show will be announced soon. R.I.P. have tons of other dates, including a Brooklyn show at Saint Vitus with Mick’s Jaguar.

DEAFHEAVEN

Deafheaven announced a tour with Drab Majesty and Uniform in support of their anticipated new album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love.

SLEEP

Stoner metal legends Sleep expanded their tour, which now includes two Brooklyn shows with Earth’s Dylan Carlson.

PALLBEARER

Modern doom greats Pallbearer expanded their tour, which now includes a run opening for Obituary, some headlining shows, and some festivals.

MUTOID MAN

Cave In/Converge-related metal n’ rollers Mutoid Man returned last year with the great War Moans, and they’re doing tons of touring this year in continued support of it.

MORTUARY DRAPE

Italian black metal vets Mortuary Drape, who broke a ten-year silence with a new album in 2014, announced a North American tour with the great Volahn.

ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO / TOMMY STINSON

Alejandro Escovedo’s East Village residency is coming up in May with a whole bunch of shows in different venues (including the soon-to-open Coney Island Baby). In the midst of that he’s playing “Safe At Home – A Benefit For Hudson Little League” at Helsinki Hudson on May 12 which is with Tommy Stinson’s Bash & Pop, Jesse Malin, Dust Bowl Faeries, and Elvis Perkins (tickets). Then in June, Alejandro will be touring around the Northeast and Texas. All dates and ticket links are here.

MANY ROOMS / SHORTLY

Two indie singer/songwriters, Many Rooms and Shortly, are going on tour together in May/June after their appearances at Bled Fest. Many Rooms released her very solid debut album There Is A Presence Here last week, and Shortly, who signed to Triple Crown last year, has been working on hers. All dates HERE.

SWEARIN’

After Swearin’ took a break and co-frontperson Allison Crutchfield released a solo album on Merge, they returned from hiatus to tour with Superchunk this year. Now they’ve announced that they signed to Merge and have new music coming! Exciting! They’re also touring the West Coast with Mike Krol in August and playing East Coast shows with Ought in September. TDE FULL ROSTER TOUR

TDE’s full roster tour — which includes Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, SiR and more — is coming up soon, and to further hype it, the TDE crew released a new video of themselves playing sports (watch below). Kendrick and SZA just played together at Coachella this past weekend, and Kendrick was just announced as the headliner for the 2018 Hot 97 Summer Jam.

LET’S EAT GRANDMA

Quirky UK duo Let’s Eat Grandma will soon be back with their second album, which features production from SOPHIE and The Horrors’ Faris Badwan, and they’ll tour North America this September.

PRIESTS

After finishing up with their Coachella duties this weekend, Priests will be opening a few shows for Franz Ferdinand, and then have headlining dates later this year, and will play Brooklyn in June with UK band Shopping.

BETH ORTON

Great UK folk artist Beth Orton says she’s planning ”some releases this year of unheard collaborations with some pretty special people.” and she’s also playing NYC and Philadelphia in June.

THE DREAM SYNDICATE

Paisley Underground vets The Dream Syndicate have a new EP out for Record Store Day and will be touring soon, including a “Spring Break” tour with a stop at the Hoboken Arts & Music Festival in early May
