MODEST MOUSE

Modest Mouse are on tour with The Black Keys as we speak, and following that tour, they’ll do a brief run of US headlining dates in December. They’re making stops in Las Vegas, Aspen, Reno, Eugene, Santa Rosa, and Vail, CO. Head here for the full list of dates.

BEACH BUNNY

Breezy indie rockers Beach Bunny kick off a fall tour with a hometown sold-out Halloween show at Chicago’s Thalia Hall tomorrow night (10/31), and they’ve begun announcing dates for 2020 too. The 2020 dates include a NYC show on 3/31 at Music Hall of Williamsburg, a larger venue than their sold-out show happening at Rough Trade NYC on 11/21. All dates here.

JACQUES GREENE

Canadian beatmaker and producer Jacques Greene released his entrancing new LP Dawn Chorus several weeks back, and after playing a string of three sold-out North American dates last week, he announced further US dates behind the album happening in February, including DJ sets in Cambridge and NYC (Elsewhere on 2/21), along with live sets in Detroit, Portland, Vancouver, and Oakland. HOMEBOY SANDMAN / QUELLE CHRIS

Homeboy Sandman has added a NYC show to his November East Coast tour supporting his very solid new album Dusty. It happens 11/18 at Sunnyvale, and like other dates on the tour, it’s with Quelle Chris, one of the only two guests on Dusty.

JA RULE / ASHANTI

Ja Rule has some dates coming up, at least two of which are with his former hitmaking partner Ashanti: V101 Holiday Jam in Sacramento on 12/7 with Ludacris, DMX, and Digital Underground; and Newark’s NJPAC on 1/4 with Lloyd and Lil’ Mo. Ashanti also plays the Femme It Forward show on New Year’s Eve at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre with Monica, Amerie, Keri Hilson, and Lil’ Mo; and she has a bunch of other dates, which are listed here.

FRUIT BATS

Eric D. Johnson’s Fruit Bats returned this past summer with Gold Past Life, their first for Merge Records, and the band will soon kick off a fall tour, running through November. Their tour begins with a run of Northeastern dates with Andrew Combs, including a NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge on 11/5, and dates in Boston, Toronto, Syracuse, and more. Later dates feature openers Skyway Man and Joyero, including Pittsburg, Nashville, Atlanta, Durham, Louisville, and many others. Following these shows, Eric D. Johnson is also touring in 2020 with his new supergroup Bonny Light Horseman, with a NYC date at Rough Trade on 2/6. View all upcoming Fruit Bats dates here.

ALLEGAEON

Colorado melodic progressive tech-death metal band Allegaeon are riding high on the critical acclaim of Apoptosis, their fifth full length album (and possibly some legal weed). Learn more about that Metal Blade-released record — their first in four years — in Invisible Oranges’ recent interview with original member Greg Burgess, and catch the band on tour now with the likeminded Inferi (from Nashville) and the Prosthetic-signed Paladin (from Atlanta). The NY show is November 1st at The Kingsland in Brooklyn, which is definitely a step up from the… subway.

JOSEPH

Alt-pop trio Joseph wrapped up a North American tour behind this year’s Good Luck, Kid not too long ago, and following a run of European shows next month, the band will return stateside for a 2020 tour beginning in February, with stops in Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Houston, San Antonio, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and more. PILE

Boston indie rockers Pile, whose new album Green and Gray came out in May, begin their fall tour at Santa Cruz’s The Catalyst tonight (10/30). The band also have upcoming shows with a slew of newly-added openers varying by date, including Guerilla Toss, Sea Moss, Slow Code, Bethlehem Steel, and others. This includes a NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge on 12/13 with support from Patio and Gabby’s World, and further shows in Chicago, Salt Lake City, Baltimore, New Orleans, Des Moines, and Cambridge, among others. NIKKI GLASER

Comedian Nikki Glaser released her first standup special Bangin’ on Netflix earlier this month, and she just began her similarly-titled “Bang It Out Tour,” which includes NYC dates at Public Arts on 11/4 and 11/6, along with a BUILD Series interview on 11/7. Her tour, which was recently extended into 2020, also includes runs in Philly, Washington D.C. and San Francisco, along with individual stops in Long Island (The Paramount on 5/1), Dallas, Las Vegas, Seattle, and lots more. GIRLPOOL opening for KING PRINCESS

LA-based duo Girlpool are currently on tour opening for King Princess, whose anticipated debut album Cheap Queen dropped last week. The pair have two NYC dates at Terminal 5 on 11/1 and 11/2 (night one sold out, night two on sale), along with other dates in Boston, Philly, Atlanta, Orlando, Washington D.C., Asheville, and others. Girlpool also have a few headlining dates scheduled during this tour as well, with stops in Durham, Tampa, Tallahassee, and New Orleans, among several others. Celebrated outsider artist Jandek announced a one-off Brooklyn date at ISSUE Project Room in December.

PINBACK / DISHEVELED CUSS

Tera Melos singer/guitarist Nick Reinhart is planning a debut album with his new project Disheveled Cuss, and they’ll be opening for Pinback throughout November.

JAMILA WOODS opening for RAPHAEL SAADIQ

Jamila Woods, who released the great LEGACY! LEGACY! earlier this year, is opening all dates of Raphael Saadiq’s upcoming 2020 tour.

NEEK BUCKS

Harlem rapper Neek Bucks announced a hometown NYC show supporting his recent mixtape El Barrio 2.
