MODEST MOUSE

Modest Mouse are on tour now, and also just announced a lengthy fall tour.

THE DRUMS

Indie pop act The Drums, who released Abysmal Thoughts last year, have a few tour dates lined up for 2018, including some dates in South America and Mexico this month, and they’ll play Las Vegas’ Life is Beautiful in September. As a warm up for Vegas, The Drums will play Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall on September 21 (tickets on sale Friday).  Head here for all dates.

THE CHURCH

Australian alt-rock greats The Church are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album Starfish by playing it on tour. Dates include two shows at NYC’s City Winery.

TENACIOUS D

Jack Black and Kyle Gass say there will “probably” be a new Tenacious D album this year but they’ll “definitely” be on tour this fall, including a show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE

My Bloody Valentine’s summer tour was to have included a performance at the now-canceled FYF Festival in Los Angeles. To make up for that, they’ll play a headlining LA show on July 22 at Shrine Expo Hall with Protomartyr opening. Updated dates (including NYC) are here, and catch Protomartyr at BrooklynVegan’s Northside Fest showcase with Deerhoof and more in June.

SUUNS

Montreal’s Suuns begin their spring tour with FACS (ex-Disappears) next week and to prime folks they’ve just shared the video for “Look No Futher” (from their recent LP, Felt) which you can watch below. The tour’s second stop is at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall on May 22 and for all dates/tickets, look no further.

REGINA SPEKTOR (SOLO)

Regina Spektor announced six solo shows worldwide in continued support of last year’s Remember Us to Life.

LIZ PHAIR

Beloved indie rock vet Liz Phair has a short tour starting later this month, and also just announced a longer tour for late summer/fall.

ORCHESTRAL PRINCE TRIBUTE TOUR

There’s an orchestral Prince tribute tour happening later this year (approved by Prince’s estate), for which Questlove helped curate the setlists and orchestral arrangements.

MOURN / CHASTITY

Spanish post-punks Mourn are releasing their third album Sorpresa Familia on June 15 via Captured Tracks, and they’ll support it on a North American tour with their Ontario-based labelmates Chastity. The tour begins at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on July 18. All dates here. Chastity’s new album Death Lust comes out July 11 via Captured Tracks, and lead single “Children” has sort of a Nothing-style punkgaze vibe. HAVOK / JUNGLE ROT / EXTINCTION AD

Neo-thrashers Havok are hitting the road this year with Jungle Rot and Extinction AD, and they say, “this will be our last tour for a while because it’s time to write and record a new album.” All dates (including Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus) here.

JONAH MATRANGA – 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF FAR’S WATER & SOLUTIONS

Post-hardcore vets Far’s classic fourth album Water & Solutions turns 20 this year, and to celebrate, frontman Jonah Matranga is taking the album on an international 20th anniversary tour. He hits LA, Phoenix, Vegas, Denver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, the UK, and more. All dates here. Stream Water & Solutions on Spotify.

GWAR

GWAR will take their bloody mess on the road for a short run this July dubbed the “Blood of Gods Tour.” It hits Fort Wayne, IN; Grand Rapids, MI; Columbia, MO; Asheville, NC; and more. All dates here.

CHIEF KEEF

Chicago rapper Chief Keef isn’t as omnipresent as he was when “I Don’t Like” and “Love Sosa” ruled the world, but he remains very prolific. He dropped the new The Glo Files mixtape last Friday and he’s on “Mileage” on the new Playboi Carti album Die Lit that was surprise-released that same day. MURDER BY DEATH

Goth-country staples Murder By Death were recently announced on the awesome lineup for the inaugural Three Stacks Fest (with Against Me!, Screaming Females, PUP, mewithoutYou, Camp Cope, and more), and now they announced an extensive tour happening in September and October (two NYC shows and Asbury Park included). They say “more big news coming soon” so stay tuned for that. Their last album was 2015’s Big Dark Love. All dates and tickets here.

BIRDS IN ROW

French post-hardcore band Birds In Row announced a new album and tour, including headlining shows and shows opening for Neurosis and Converge.

JEDI MIND TRICKS

Underground rap vets Jedi Mind Tricks are releasing their new album The Bridge and the Abyss on June 22 and celebrating with a tour this fall. It seems like more dates may be TBA, but a few have popped up including NYC’s Bowery Ballroom (9/20), Philly’s Union Transfer (9/21), Boston’s Paradise Rock Club (9/22), San Francisco’s Independent (9/30), and more. MOLLY NILSSON

Swedish synthpop artist Molly Nilsson is currently opening the West Coast leg of MGMT’s tour and will be back in North America this fall for headlining dates (including NYC).

U2

In the midst of the NYC-area run of their Experience + Innocence arena tour in June, U2 are going to play the historic Apollo Theatre. You think they’ll play “Angel of Harlem”?

RUFUS WAINWRIGHT

Before he begins his “All These Poses” tour (which focuses on his first two albums), Rufus Wainwright has tour dates this summer, including two recently-added NYC-area shows in August.

HAMILTON LEITHAUSER

The former Walkmen frontman will be on tour in July, including headline shows, dates opening for Arcade Fire, and a stop at Newport Folk Fest.

ARTHUR BUCK

Arthur Buck is Joseph Arthur + Peter Buck (R.E.M.) and they’ll release an album in June and be on tour this September and their group includes Buck’s multple-time bandmate Scott McCaughey (Minus 5, Filthy Friends, R.E.M.).

THE DONKEYS

Veteran California indie rock band The Donkeys are back with a new album, Sun Damaged Youth, which is out in July. Check out “Kool Kids” below. The Donkeys will be on tour in July including Brooklyn’s The Bell House on July 20 with High Waisted (tickets). All dates and tickets, here.

RA RA RIOT – THE RHUMB LINE 10TH ANNIVERSARY

Pop-indie band Ra Ra Riot are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their fan-fave debut on a short tour this summer.

BERMUDA TRIANGLE

Bermuda Triangle, the collaborative project of Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard, Becca Mancari and Jesse Lafser, announced two NY shows happening before they play XPoNential Fest and Newport Folk Fest.

PHISH

Phish are staying busy this year, and just announced a fall tour, which is in addition to their upcoming summer tour and their festival in Watkins Glen.

PHIL LESH

RAE SREMMURD / WIZ KHALIFA

Rae Sremmurd announced a co-headlining tour with Wiz Khalifa, which is in addition to their tour opening for Childish Gambino.

OutKast’s Big Boi is opening Christina Aguilera’s 2018 tour, which includes two Radio City shows.
