The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

NATHANIEL RATELIFF

Nathaniel Rateliff will return to his early acoustic days on the 2020 “And It’s Still Alright” Tour, where he and his band will perform stripped-back versions of songs from his entire catalog. Dates kick off March 4 in Minneapolis, and include stops in Milwaukee, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, NYC (Town Hall on March 12 & 13), DC, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Nashville, L.A., and San Francisco. He’s also got shows this weekend in Colorado with Mavis Staples (who he just played with in NYC), as well as 2020 appearances at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival and Charleston, SC’s High Water Fest. Head here for all dates.

SEU JORGE

Brazilian singer, guitarist and Life Aquatic breakout Seu Jorge will be in NYC in January for Winter Jazzfest, playing Town Hall on 1/16. He’ll play a couple other U.S. shows while here in Washington, DC and Berkeley, CA.

PORRIDGE RADIO

Brighton indie rock outfit Porridge Radio recently signed to Secretly Canadian for their next album, which is due out next year, and announced they’d be playing the 2020 edition of SXSW. We hoped they’d play some more North American shows while they were on this side of the pond, and sure enough, they’ve revealed a pair, in Los Angeles and Brooklyn.

J.S. ONDARA (OPENING FOR THE LUMINEERS)

Kenyan-born folk singer J.S. Ondara spent most of 2019 on tour in continued support of his debut album, Tales of America, and he’ll continue to do so in 2020, including a stretch opening for The Lumineers. Dates begin in Asheville, NC on January 31, 2020 and will run through March, including stops in Columbus, St. Louis, Detroit, Cleveland, Brooklyn (Barclays Center on February 13 & 14), Indianapolis, Nashville, Pittsburgh, DC, Toronto, Montreal, Milwaukee and more. Head here for all dates.

KENDRA AMALIE

Milwaukee’s Kendra Amalie makes hard to categorize music, with elements of dark folk, twangy rock and dreampop. What really makes her unique is her finger-style 12-string guitar playing which is prone to some serious shredding just when you least expect it. Kendra released Intuition earlier this year via Beyond Beyond is Beyond and you can stream it below. You can catch Kendra on tour in early 2020, beginning with a hometown show on January 17 and then heading to St. Louis, Tulsa, Amarillo, Marfa, Lubbock, Dallas, Dento, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Wichita, Omaha and Minneapolis. All dates are listed here.

BILAL

Neo-soul great Bilal has begun announcing shows for 2020, and while it seems like a longer tour might still be TBA, so far we know he’s playing NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on February 23, Nashville, Detroit, and two nights in Napa. All dates here.

CAM’RON

Cam’ron added a free show happening at Brooklyn’s Villain a week after he plays D’usse Palooza at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. He’s also touring in 2020. All dates here.

ATA KAK

Ghanaian cult musician Ata Kak is coming to the U.S. next year for his first-ever tour here. He’ll play the 2020 Treefort Music Festival in Boise, ID, and then hit Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, NYC, Cleveland and Chicago.

MAYO THOMPSON

Red Krayola founder just in NYC for a show at Le Poisson Rouge where he played his 1971 solo album, Corky’s Debt to His Father, in full. He’s now announced an L.A. show where he’ll do the same, playing Hammer Museum on January 9. It’s a free show and more info is here.
