Australian indie rocker Courtney Barnett is releasing her anticipated new album Tell Me How You Really Feel this year and she already announced several tour dates including NYC’s MHOW with Palehound and Prospect Park with Julien Baker and Vagabon. Now she has added another leg of dates with another great and well-matched opener, Waxahatchee, including stops in Boston, Philly, Nashville, Austin, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, LA, and more. The incredible triple bill of sludge metal lifers Neurosis, metallic hardcore lifers Converge, and post-metal staples Amenra toured together last year, and they’re doing it again this year, stopping in Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco, LA, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Austin, and more. Noisecore greats Today Is The Day announced two post-MDF shows with other bands playing MDF: Brooklyn with Khemmis and Portland, ME with Integrity.

THE SUFFERS

Houston soul/R&B group The Suffers will be back with a new album, on July 13, which features contributions from rappers Bun B and Paul Wall. You can check out first single “Do Whatever” here. Before the record drops, though, The Suffers will be on tour in the spring with NYC area shows at Asbury Park, NJ’s House of Independents on April 20 and Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on April 21. They’ve also got festivals like Treefort, Sasquatch and Lockn’ on their busy tour schedule.

CHAD VALLEY

UK electronic act Chad Valley (aka Hugo Manuel) will release new album, Imaginary Music, on May 25 via Cascine (U.S.) / Paper Bag (Canada). Hugo says the album was inspired by lush ’80s pop acts like Prefab Sprout and China Crisis and you can listen to first single impartial below. Chad Valley will be on tour this spring, including a Brooklyn show at Elsewhere Zone One on May 25. UK shows are with Baths and all dates are here.

SEAL

He may have just released an album of jazz standards, but don’t think for a second that Seal wouldn’t play hits like “Kiss from a Rose” and “Crazy” on his upcoming tour that includes shows at Red Rocks, Hollywood Bowl and NYC’s Beacon Theatre.

CULTURE CLUB, THE B-52S, TOM BAILEY OF THOMPSON TWINS

If you like ’80s new wave this tour is pretty appealing with three of the decade’s iconic acts. Dates include a stop at NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium.

ROSTAM

Former Vampire Weekend Rostam released his debut solo album Half-Light last year and he has now announced his biggest shows yet, one in NYC at Brooklyn Steel on May 24 with Joy Again and instupendo, one in London on June 14 at Scala, and one in LA at The Fonda Theatre on September 14 with Bedouine. DUCKWRTH

WET / INC NO WORLD

Alt-pop band Wet recently released a new song and announced a tour with the R&B-ish Inc No World. After selling out the Brooklyn show at Music Hall of Williamsburg (5/20) on that tour, they’ve now added a second show at the same venue for the following night (5/21). Updated dates are listed HERE.
