Tristen Gaspadarek has been releasing music since the turn of the millennium and she has also toured as a member of Jenny Lewis’ band, and last year’s very good Sneaker Waves includes the song “Glass Jar” featuring Jenny Lewis (listen). She’s touring from Tennessee to SXSW, and wrapping things up in Brooklyn at Union Pool on April 14. All dates are listed HERE.

PARAMORE / FOSTER THE PEOPLE

Paramore have announced their fifth tour behind 2017’s great After Laughter, hitting Brooklyn’s massive Barclays Center.

NICK CAVE (“CONVERSATIONS WITH”)

Nick Cave will host open discussions with the audience on his upcoming tour. “I can always play some songs at the piano if it all goes horribly wrong.” Hopefully he’ll play songs if it all goes right, too.

DEAD HORSES

Milwaukee-via-Oshkosh folk/alt-country duo Dead Horses are releasing new album My Mother the Moon on April 6, which was produced by former Wilco/Uncle Tupelo drummer Ken Coomer (hear new single “American Poor”), and they’re also touring. Their tour includes a show at NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall on April 12, and they’re also opening some West Coast dates on Horse Feathers’ tour. All dates are listed HERE.

FIELD REPORT

Field Report is the folk rock band led by Chris Porterfield (it’s an anagram of his last name), who was a member of DeYarmond Edison with Justin Vernon, are following 2014’s Marigolden with Summertime Songs on March 23 via Verve Forecast. Pre-order and hear the heartland synth rock lead single “Never Look Back” here. The band is also touring, including the BrooklynVegan/Dine Alone/Buzz Records SXSW showcase (with Say Anything, Trail of Dead, and more) and NYC’s Mercury Lounge on April 3 and Union Pool on April 4.
