PHIL LESH

The Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh and his band The Terrapin Family Band have announced a major 2019 show: Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 29 with The Infamous Stringdusters. That’s one of two currently announced 2019 shows for Phil, the other being FloydFest. He also has four Phil Lesh & Friends shows at Terrapin Crossroads this month.

MIKE GORDON (of PHISH)

In other jam band news, Phish bassist/co-founder Mike Gordon is hitting the road with his band this March, and stopping in Atlanta, Nashville, DC, Asbury Park, Jersey City, Buffalo, Cambridge, and more. All dates here. Before that, Phish do a four-night New Year’s run at MSG.

THE VOIDZ

What is Julian Casablancas up to in 2019? Time will tell but his band the Voidz play Los Angeles and Brooklyn in February.

LEBANON HANOVER

German musicians Larissa Iceglass and William Maybelline have been making gothy post-punk as Lebanon Hanover for most of this decade, most recently on this year’s Let Them Be Alien. (Stream that below.) The band will be heading to the U.S. this spring, playing Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego and NYC’s Brooklyn Bazaar on April 24. All dates are here.

“WEIRD AL” YANKOVIC

Having spent most of 2018 getting small with his Ill-Advised Vanity tour, Weird Al will go big in 2019 for the “Strings Attached” tour that will have him out with a full symphony orchestra.

FORWARD

Japanese hardcore vets Forward are back in North America on a tour that hits Nashville tonight (11/12). They’ll make their way to the Northeast, where they’ll play Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 11/17 with Warthog, Headsplitters, Haram, and Sister Anne. All dates here.

HOT WATER MUSIC

Hot Water Music have added U.S. dates to their international 25th anniversary tour, which sees them playing 1999’s No Division and 2002’s Caution in full.

GARY CLARK JR.

With a new album out in early 2019, Gary Clark Jr just announced a Spring 2019 tour, that includes multiple-night runs in Chicago, Boston, NYC, Nashville and more. We’ve got a BrooklynVegan presale for Gary’s three NYC dates at Beacon Theatre.

PATTON OSWALT

Impossibly busy guy Patton Oswalt has stand-up dates when not working on shows like A.P. Bio and Mystery Science Theater 3000, including a NYC show at Beacon Theatre in March (with a BrooklynVegan presale).

DROPKICK MURPHYS

Dropkick Murphys have announced a tour, beginning in New York and leading up to a four-night St. Patrick’s Day run in the Boston area. All dates are with Booze & Glory, Lashley’s Gang Of One, and Amigo The Devil. The Boston-area run has other openers, including The Interrupters.

PANDA BEAR

Panda Bear announced a 2019 U.S. tour, beginning shortly after the February 8 release of his new album Buoys.

DIDO

Dido announced her first tour in 15 years, including a NYC show at Terminal 5 and several other international dates.

YOUNG DOLPH

Memphis rapper Young Dolph is hitting the road behind his new album Role Model in 2019.

FONTAINES DC

Having just signed to Partisan Records, Dublin band Fontaines DC will be touring with their new labelmates Idles in 2019, and have UK dates with Shame this year.
