The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

Indie rock vets Pinback have a new run of Midwestern US dates in August, which features opener Nick Reinhart (of Tera Melos fame). They’ll first stop in Chicago, before other shows in Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Omaha, and more. View all dates here.

Kristin Hersh’s band Throwing Muses, which also includes drummer David Narcizo and bassist Bernard George, have announced their first shows since 2014. So far three dates are lined up: Boston on August 23 at City Winery, San Diego on August 30 at Soda Bar, and then Pasadena on August 31 at The Cure’s Pasadena Daydream Festival. Fingers crossed for more shows, but Kristin has solo dates before that (NYC this Saturday).

Australia’s Kirin J Callinan dropped his adventurous new covers LP Return to Center this week, and while he hasn’t revealed a full tour behind the album yet, he’s got a pair of California shows lined up for the next few days. He plays Oakland’s The New Parish on Sunday (6/23), before hitting Highland Park’s Lodge Room on Tuesday (6/25). (He toured North America back in the spring.) Afterwards, he’ll head to Europe and the UK for other summer shows. Head here for all those dates.

Black metallers Goatwhore are currently hard at work on their upcoming LP, and they’ll be hitting Psycho Las Vegas in mid-August. Surrounding their appearance at the fest, they’ll be touring with hardcore punks Ringworm (who released the great Death Becomes My Voice last month). Stops include Albuquerque, Seattle, Portland, Colorado Springs, Flagstaff, and more. Check here for all upcoming dates.

Following their appearances at Sound and Fury 2019 next month, Triple B Records labelmates Illusion and Ekulu will be on the road together, a run that that lasts nearly the entire month of August. The tour is bookended with two NYC-area dates, first at Brooklyn’s Gold Sounds on 8/3 (w/ Mindforce and Regulate), and later Long Island’s Amityville Music Hall on 8/29 (w/ Rule Them All, Reaction, and TOS). Other cities include Atlanta, Miami, Washington D.C., Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, and tons more. You can find the full list of dates here.

Australian singer-songwriter Angie McMahon is touring this year behind her upcoming debut album Salt, including solo acoustic shows in LA, NYC, and at Newport Folk Fest, and a run opening for Hozier.

Tom G Warrior’s new band Triumph of Death, who perform the music of Warrior’s pre-Celtic Frost Hellhammer, made their live debut this week and they have more upcoming dates including several in Europe and one at US festival Psycho Las Vegas.

Indie/punk/emo bands Macseal and Pool Kids are wrapping up a tour together in the Northeast this weekend, including a Philly date with Camp Cope singer Georgia Maq, who just spent some time in NYC.
