The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

PIXIES – LONDON RESIDENCY

Pixies are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Come On Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa during a London residency this fall. Dates, tickets, and more info HERE. They’re also touring North America with Weezer and Sleigh Bells this summer.

SUFJAN STEVENS

There are still some tickets available to Saturday night (4/21)’s “Live From Here with Chris Thile” at Town Hall in NYC, Sufjan Stevens appearance included. Saturday also happens to be Record Store Day, so you can pick up the new Mystery of Love EP while you’re out. Sufjan has no other announced shows at the moment.

RADIOHEAD

Radiohead are in the midst of playing a string of shows in South America. If you can get yourself to Brazil by Sunday, tickets appear to still be available to that one and to the show they play in Colombia three days later, though if you’re reading this, then there’s a good chance Montreal, Columbus, Cincinnati and Philadelphia are easier options — all with tickets still available according to the band’s site. All other dates of their Summer 2018 North American tour (four nights at MSG included) are sold out.

MAZZY STAR

The fact that Mazzy Star recently played a benefit and announced an EP and is playing three shows in Australia in June gives us Hope that more is on the way.

IMMERSION (COLIN NEWMAN & MALKA SPIGEL)

Wire’s Colin Newman and Minimal Compact’s Malka Spigel, who are married, have been making music together for over 20 years with various groups including as duo Immersion. Their new album Sleepless will be out June 15 and they’ll be touring this summer with Matt Schulz (Holy Fuck, Enon, SAVAK) on drums, including a July 14 show at Rough Trade. All dates are tickets are here.

ACID KING

Stoner metal vets Acid King returned in 2015 with their first album in nine years, and they’re still going strong on the road. Their tour dates include Austin Terror Fest, Philly, Brooklyn, and more. Most dates are here and a few others are here.

BLIS

Grungy Atlanta band Blis. released their powerful debut album No One Loves You last year on Sargent House, and they’re hitting the road with Puddle Splasher to further support the album this spring. The tour includes a Brooklyn show at Alphaville on 6/3, plus stops in NJ, CT, Boston, Chicago, and more. All dates and tickets HERE.

CITIZENS ARREST

Hardcore vets Citizens Arrest don’t tour much these days and this is actually a one-off, not a tour, but it’s currently your only chance to see them: June 30 at The Kingsland in Greenpoint. Watch a live video from Saint Vitus in 2015:

ASG

Psychedelic sludge band ASG released a great new song off their upcoming album and announced a tour in support of it.

BODEGA

Brooklyn’s Bodega just wrapped up a few dates opening for Franz Ferdinand and will open for No Age at Brooklyn Bazaar on May 2 (tickets). After that they head to the UK and Europe and have just announced a few more North American dates, including a release party for their debut album, Endless Scroll, which will happen at Brooklyn’s Sunnyvale on June 1 (tickets). All dates listed here.

SCREAMING FEMALES

Screaming Females are always staying busy on the road, and they now have dates through late October, including two NYC shows (a headlining show at Warsaw and opening for The Breeders at Terminal 5), and much more.

BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG’S BAND THE LONGSHOT

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s new side project The Longshot surprise-released their debut album today and also announced some shows at venues MUCH smaller than the ones Green Day usually play.

UK band The Fratellis are gearing up for their North American tour in support of their new album In Your Own Sweet Time. They’ll be out with Blood Red Shoes and dates include a stop at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on May 16 (tickets). All dates and tickets, here.

COLLAPSING SCENERY

Collapsing Scenery, the music and art project of Don Devore (Ink & Dagger, The Icarus Line, Amazing Baby, Lilys, Sick Feeling) and Reggie Debris, just released a Randy Newman cover last week, and now they’re back with a cover of The Modern Lovers’ “Modern World” complete with a video made by cult director Kansas Bowling. There are demonic cheerleaders in this one and you can watch that below. Collapsing Scenery will play NYC at dim sum restaurant Golden Unicorn on May 2 with Daisy Glaze, then they have a residency at Los Angeles’ Zebulon on May 7, 14 & 21 (tickets).
