The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

KISS

KISS have announced the first round of North American dates for their farewell tour, including MSG and Nassau Coliseum.

A$AP ROCKY

A$AP Rocky announced a 2019 tour, and while there’s no hometown NYC show (yet?), he does play Cyndi Lauper’s holiday show in NYC in December.

ED ASKEW

Psych-folk legend Ed Askew has great albums dating back to the 1960s and he still makes music today. He also still performs fairly regularly, and any chance to see him is a treat. At the moment, he’s got two upcoming shows in his NYC hometown: Friday (11/2) at Magick City with Heroes of Toolik and Alec K. Redfearn; and 11/17 at Flowers for All Occasions (moved from Wonders of Nature) with Matt Bachmann, Lisa/Liza, and Greg Jamie (of O’Death). He also just last week released a new 10-song project, Nothing But Love, which you can stream here:

BASEMENT opening for WEEZER/PIXIES

Classic alternative rock bands Weezer and the Pixies are doing a co-headlining tour (again) and that tour just got a pretty cool opening band who is definitely hugely influenced by both Weezer and the Pixies, Basement (whose new album Beside Myself is out now). All dates here. Meanwhile, Pixies being their Come On Pilgrim… It’s Surfer Rosa shows in London tonight (10/30) and they’ve got a Brooklyn run of those shows in November. They also just added a show at The Fillmore in Philly (3/18) happening during the Weezer tour. All dates here.

STEADY HOLIDAY

Steady Holiday is the current musical project of songwriter and musician Dre Babinski who has played with Dr Dog, Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, and was one half of Miracle Days. Steady Holiday’s new album, Nobody’s Watching, came out over the summer on Barsuk and recalls The Cardigans, The Bird & The Bee, and early Feist. You can stream that below. You can catch Steady Holiday on tour starting next week, including shows in DC, Philly, the Boston area and NYC’s Mercury Lounge November 10 with Renata Zeiguer. The tour then heads to the West Coast, including dates in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more.

QUEENSRYCHE / FATES WARNING / THE CRINGE

Heavy metal vets Queensrÿche are releasing a new album, The Verdict, on March 1 via Century Media, and they’ll support it on a North American tour with fellow metal vets Fates Warning. There’s also additional support from The Cringe on some dates, including the NYC show on March 9 at Irving Plaza. All dates and more info on the tour and album here.

TAKING BACK SUNDAY

Taking Back Sunday have further detailed their NJ holiday shows. They announced the daytime acoustic set/pop-up and revealed they’ll be playing full albums, like on their 2019 20th anniversary tour.

HIGH ON FIRE drop off MUNICIPAL WASTE tour

High on Fire sadly had to drop off their tour with Municipal Waste due to frontman Matt Pike needing a partial toe amputation. Here’s to a speedy recovery, Matt!

VIAGRA BOYS

Stockholm Sweden dystopian post-punk ensemble Viagra Boys, who released Street Worms earlier this year, will be over in the U.S. for SXSW 2019 and are playing Los Angeles and Brooklyn on either side of the fest in March.

KORPIKLAANI

Finnish group Korpiklaani, who mix metal with Celtic and European folk music, recently released new album Kulkija via Nuclear Blast and you can stream that below. The band are also on a North American tour now, and play NYC’s Gramercy Theatre on November 1 and then head west, hitting Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, and more.
