HAMILTON LEITHAUSER / RYLEY WALKER / ANNA ST. LOUIS

Former Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser has announced 2020 North American tour dates behind his upcoming LP The Loves of Your Life, with select dates including openers Ryley Walker and Anna St. Louis. Hamilton writes in an announcement, “I am very psyched to play my new songs (and the classics) for you live. I don’t do this ALL that often, so come on down and have a ball with me this spring & summer!” Stops include Philly, Woodstock, LA, Nashville, Chicago, Denver, Toronto, Portland, and lots more (no NYC dates yet). Tickets go on sale Wednesday (2/25) at 10 AM local time, and you can head here for all dates.

ROGER WATERS

Roger Waters has expanded his “This is Not a Drill” tour, adding second nights in Philadelphia, Toronto and San Francisco. All dates are here.

KNOCKED LOOSE

Knocked Loose are currently set to open for two very popular metal bands this year, first Motionless In White (also with Stick To Your Guns) and then Parkway Drive (also with Hatebreed). All dates here.

DEEPER

Chicago’s Deeper have added more dates to their 2020 tour supporting new album Auto-Pain (out in March). The new dates start May 5 in Seattle and include stops in LA, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Atlanta, Nashville, DC, Philly, Brooklyn (Sultan Room on 5/23), Montreal, Toronto, and Cleveland. CHICANO BATMAN / LE BUTCHERETTES

Los Angeles’ Chicano Batman will release new album Invisible People on May 1 via ATO and will be on tour this spring and summer with Le Butcherettes. Tour stops include Coachella, NYC (Webster Hall on May 1), Boston, Philly, Toronto, Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, Mexico City, El Paso, Dallas, Austin, Orlando, Miani, Nashville, Richmond, DC and lots more. GERRY CINNAMON

Scottish singer/songwriter Gerry Cinnamon recently revealed that he’d be going on his first-ever US tour as an opener for Rancid and Dropkick Murphys (the latter of whom recently covered his music), and he now added a headlining NYC show happening beforehand at Elsewhere Hall on April 29. Dates here. Gerry’s new album The Bonny drops April 10 via Little Runaway Records, and he recently released this song from it:

BIKINI KILL

The reunited Bikini Kill continue to add more tour dates, with new shows in Miami, Orlando, Carrboro, Charlottesville, Asheville, Knoxville, Louisville, Nashville, Atlanta, and more. They also added Princess Nokia as an opener to their Red Rocks show, and punk legend Alice Bag to some of their Northeast dates.

THE MAGNETIC FIELDS

In support of upcoming album Quickies, The Magnetic Fields have also announced a series of residencies at City Wineries around the country, including Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Boston, DC, Philadelphia and four nights at the soon-to-open new NYC City Winery.

YASIIN BEY (MOS DEF)

Rapper yasiin bey (fka Mos Def) has a few tour dates lined up for March, beginning with a sold-out NYC show at Sony Hall on March 19 which is another of his 20th anniversary Mos Def Black on Both Sides celebrations. Not long after that, he’ll head to Washington DC for a show at Howard Theatre on March 21, and then it’s back to NYC for a big hometown show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on March 26 which should be something special.

ALICE BAG

Alice Bag also has other upcoming tour dates, including LA with Screaming Females, NYC-area shows, and more.

JENS LEKMAN

Jens Lekman is going on a unique North American tour that has him backed by youth orchestras in many cities and he’s added a few shows since the initial announcement.

LAND OF TALK

Land of Talk are releasing new album Indistinct Conversations in May and will be on tour this spring, with dates in Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, NYC, Boston, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles.

METHYL ETHEL

Australia’s Methyl Ethel are back with a new EP, Hurts to Laugh, on April 10 via Dot Dash / Remote Control and they’ve also been added to Peter Bjorn and John’s upcoming North American tour, including stops in L.A., Portland, Seattle, Philly, DC, NYC (Webster Hall on April 10), and more.

ADULT.

Detroit electronic duo ADULT. will release new album Perception is/as/of Deception on April 10 via DAIS and will be on tour with Body of Light across North America this spring.

BLACK FLAG

Greg Ginn’s current version of Black Flag continue to expand their tour, which now includes upcoming dates in Brooklyn, NJ, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, and more.

ZETA

Zeta, who we included in our list of 12 great screamo releases of 2019, have announced an extensive tour that goes down from March to June (with breaks in between) and hits just about every corner of the US. All dates (including NYC’s Trans-Pecos on 6/17) here.

WEYES BLOOD (NYC w/ WHITNEY)

Weyes Blood’s lengthy tour schedule now includes a double bill in Central Park with Whitney (who are headlining), as well as shows with Nick Cave and more.

AGAINST ME / BARONESS

Punk vets Against Me! and proggy sludge metal vets Baroness will do a co-headlining tour this spring, including one leg with garage punks Destroy Boys and another with post-hardcore-ish punks Drug Church.

THE MAGNETIC FIELDS (RESIDENCIES)

The Magnetic Fields announced residencies at City Wineries around the country, including the soon-to-open NYC location, as well as Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Boston, DC, and Philadelphia locations.

Kelly Lee Owens is touring the UK and Europe this year, behind her just-announced new album Inner Song.

SANTANA / EARTH WIND & FIRE

Santana is continuing his 20th anniversary tour of Supernatural, this time with funk veterans Earth Wind & Fire.

KING BUZZO / TREVOR DUNN

Melvins’ King Buzzo announced a US tour with occasional collaborator Trevor Dunn, who appears on his upcoming LP Gift of Sacrifice.

ADULT. / BODY OF LIGHT

Detroit electronic duo ADULT. announced a spring tour with Body of Light across North America, in support of their forthcoming album Perception is/as/of Deception.

LAND OF TALK

Land of Talk will be on tour this spring behind their new LP Indistinct Conversations, with dates in Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, NYC, Boston, and lots more.

NECROFEST 2020

The second annual edition of NYC’s Necrofest goes down June 12-14 at Saint Vitus and the lineup is pretty stacked, with Horrendous, Ascended Dead (first NYC show), Outer Heaven, Ulthar, Frozen Soul, Vomit Forth, Oxalate, and much more.

MAJOR LAZER

Dance music trio Major Lazer have announced a series of “city takeovers” with multiple shows in single nights in NYC, Mexico City, Berlin, Cologne, Amsterdam, London and Paris.
