The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

THE HOLD STEADY

The Hold Steady announced weekend-long runs in Philly/Asbury Park, San Francisco, and Toronto, and before that, they’ll play a Stay Positive 10th anniversary show in Jersey City.

SLOAN

Sloan are touring the East Coast as we speak — they play NYC on Thursday (5/10) — in support of their terrific 12th album. They’ve just announced fall tour dates that include the South, Southwest and Midwest. All dates and ticket links here.

SHAKEY GRAVES

Shakey Graves returned last week with his new album Can’t Wake Up, which ditches the roots rock vibe he’s been known for in favor of something weirder, poppier, more psychedelic, more heavily layered, etc. It’s not the Shakey Graves you’re used to at all, and it’s very worth a listen. He’s about to start a mostly-sold-out tour with And The Kids this week, which includes a sold-out show at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on May 17 (among many other dates), and today he added many more North American dates for late summer and fall. The newly-added dates include a larger NYC show on September 22 at Terminal 5 with The Wild Reeds. Shakey Graves’ tour also includes a Red Rocks show with Jose Gonzalez and Twin Peaks, and much more. All dates and tickets HERE. Stream the new album:

TY SEGALL

Having just wrapped up a North American tour, Ty Segall & The Freedom Band will  head to Europe soon. Then this fall, Ty will go on a solo acoustic tour this fall, with a run dates with Williams Tyler that includes a stop at Brooklyn’s Warsaw.

Having recently toured with Matt & Kim and released a new single off their TBA upcoming album, Tokyo Police Club have now announced a headlining fall tour with support from Montreal’s Fleece. The tour begins with a Brooklyn show on October 16 at Baby’s All Right. All dates HERE.

THE VAPORS

Eightees new wave band The Vapors, most famous for their 1980 hit “Turning Japanese,” will be touring North America. So far the only announced shows are a two nights at NYC’s Mercury Lounge on October 21 & 21. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday, May 11 at noon.

NICK THUNE / MICHAEL IAN BLACK

Musically included comedian Nick Thune will be on a short Southeast tour with The State/Wet Hot American Summer’s Michael Ian Black, including stops in Athens, GA, North Carolina cities Charlotte, Durham and Asheville, and Nashville, TN. All dates and tickets here. Nick also has NYC shows this week.

JADE BIRD

UK-based, Americana-inspired singer/songwriter Jade Bird continues to rise in the world, and she just announced her first North American headlining tour.

SHELLAC

Steve Albini’s Shellac is also playing The Bell House in September, along with Ex Hex and Waxahatchee, as part of the venue’s 10th anniversary. Shellac will also play the West Coast in October and have European tour dates starting in late May, including Primavera Sound.

GALLANT / JAMILA WOODS

Alt-R&B singer Gallant’s sophomore album is expected this year, and while details are mostly TBA, he did just announce a fall tour with Chicago neo-soul singer Jamila Woods.
