JEEZY

Atlanta rap vet Jeezy has announced a tour supporting his recently released album TM104: The Legend Of The Snowman. It includes a NYC show at the soon-to-close PlayStation Theater on 11/22. All dates here.

SKI MASK THE SLUMP GOD / POUYA / POP SMOKE / DJ SCHEME / DANNY TOWERS

The fast-rising Florida rapper Ski Mask the Slump God has announced the headlining ‘Stokely Tour,’ and among the openers is Brooklyn’s Pop Smoke who recently went viral thanks to his single “Welcome to the Party.” The tour includes a show at NYC’s Terminal 5 on December 6. All dates here.

BEAT OF MY CITY CONCERT SERIES

McDonald’s is presenting Beat of My City, “a new concert series that brings artists back to their hometowns to perform for their fans and give back to the community that shaped them,” with a Teyana Taylor show in NYC on 9/21 and a Juice WRLD show in Chicago on 10/17. SLOAN NAVY BLUES TOUR

As mentioned, Sloan will be releasing a deluxe edition of their great 1998 album Navy Blues at some point soon and to celebrate, they’re going to play the album in full on tour across Canada and the U.S. The tour hits the West Coast and Midwest this fall, and they’ll be back for the rest of America in early 2020.

WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE

Country music icon Wynonna Judd has a new single out co-written by Cass McCombs and she’ll be out with her band The Big Noise all fall. She’s also got a run at swanky NYC supper club Cafe Carlyle. Speaking of, Wynonna and Cass have formed a new duo, The Frothy PIt, who make their debut tonight at Nashville’s Americanafest.

THE JAY AND SILENT BOB ROADSHOW W/ KEVIN SMITH

Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes’ alter egos are back with new film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and Smith is taking it on the road where you can watch the film and then he’ll talk about it and answer fan questions. It’s touring all over North America starting in October, and they’ve recently added a 2020 leg, including shows in Oakland, Salt Lake City, Toronto, Montreal, Providence, Long Island (The Paramount on 2/12) Charlotte, Jacksonville, New Orleans and lots more. SUMMER WALKER / MELII

Atlanta R&B singer Summer Walker and Harlem rapper/singer Melii are touring together, and, after selling out their 12/7 show at NYC’s Terminal 5, they added a 12/8 show happening at the same venue. They also added shows in Atlanta, London, LA, Cleveland, and Seattle. Updated tour dates and all ticket links here.

FOLLY

NJ hardcore/ska blenders Folly’s shows are pretty rare these days, but they just played Back To School Jam and have now announced two more home state shows where they’ll celebrate the 15th anniversary of their 2004 Triple Crown-released debut album Insanity Later. They happen December 13 and 14 at Crossroads. More info and tickets here.

ALAN BRAUFMAN/COOPER-MOORE

You may recall last year Downtown jazz vet Alan Braufman reissued his 1975 free jazz classic Valley of Search, and performed it with Cooper-Moore (who played on the original album) and James Brandon Lewis. They’re doing it again for the 2019 Basilica Soundscape this weekend and will warm up for that tonight with a free show at Murmrr Ballroom.

ELECTRIC WIZARD / MIDNIGHT

UK stoner metal legends Electric Wizard are returning to the US for a short fall tour with Midnight.

THE HU

Viral Mongolian folk metal band The Hu begin their North American tour tonight, and hit Riot Fest’s all-metal stage this Saturday with Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, and GWAR. They also have three upcoming NYC-area shows and many other dates.

SKULLSHITTER / BLEEDING OUT

Metal bands Skullshitter and Bleeding Out are releasing a split and touring together.
