Anthemic Welsh alt-rock vets The Alarm are hitting the road in 2020, including several US shows as part of their annual “Gathering” US concert series. So far: Boston’s Wang Theatre Boch Center on 4/9, Los Angeles’ James Bridges Theater on 4/11, and NYC’s Sony Hall on 4/18. “Experience Passes” are available for the LA and Boston shows, which include a “personalised walk and talk event” with frontman Mike Peters. In addition, the band will embark on a series of UK dates in March, with shows in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and London. Head here for all dates.


Folk ensemble DeVotchKa are continuing to tour behind 2018’s This Night Falls Forever, and they’ve got some upcoming US tour dates throughout the year, including shows in Fort Collins, NYC (Sony Hall on 4/7), Savannah, Albany, Napa, Sellersville, Allston, and Park City. Bright Eyes are teasing some shows, and dates appear to include Forest Hills Stadium in NYC, Hollywood Palladium in LA, and End of the Road Festival in the UK.


Having released their first album in a decade in 2019, German metal/electronic vets Rammstein are now plotting a 2020 tour.


Columbus, OH’s Melted Music Fest, which brings together a wide variety of psych/garage/indie rock, had its inaugural edition last year, and the fest just revealed the lineup for its upcoming 2020 edition, which goes down at The Bluestone on March 13-14. Oh Sees and Twin Peaks serve as headliners, and the lineup also includes Protomartyr, Guerilla Toss, Combo Chimbita, Control Top, Habibi, Windhand, and more. Comedian Todd Glass is on a short East Coast tour, having just wrapped up a four night run in Philadelphia over the weekend. Still ahead: New Hope, PA on January 23, Brooklyn’s Murmrr Theater on January 25, and a two night run in Pittsburgh on January 30 & 31. Head here for more.


Slick Rick recently stopped by NYC for his annual birthday show at Brooklyn Bowl, and he’ll soon be returning to the area for a show at Sony Hall on 4/9. He’s also got two other shows in Chicago (The Chicago Theatre on 2/13) and Washington D.C. (Howard Theatre on 4/10). Tickets to the NYC show go on sale Tuesday (1/21) at noon, while the other two dates are on sale now. These are Slick Rick’s only upcoming dates at the moment.


MY Chemical Romance are continuing to fuel rumors of new music, and they’ve announced their first post-reunion UK date in June.


Wu-Tang Clan’s GZA added more North American dates to his Liquid Swords tour, as the album celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.


The Strokes’ Fab Moretti is involved in a new project machinegum, and they’ll be playing an NYC record release show later this month.


Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo announced 2020 tour dates behind his solid, guest-filled new album Time Served.


The legendary Harry Belafonte turns 93 in March, and he’ll be honored with an NYC tribute show at the Apollo, with guests Common, Maxwell, Sheila E., Talib Kweli, Aloe Blacc, and more.


Ohio death metallers Sanguisugabogg announced US tour dates, with support from Vomit Forth, Undeath, and Graveview.
