ALVVAYS

It’s been a while since Alvvays released their great 2017 sophomore LP Antisocialites, but the band continues to stay busy on tour. They’ve got a free show at NYC’s Central Park SummerStage on 6/26, an upcoming North American run with The National (who are in NYC with Courtney Barnett right now), and more shows in Canada (like Winnipeg Folk Fest in July) and Asia. Check here for all those dates.

Celebrate Brooklyn show at Prospect Park on 6/29 (with Ted Leo and Caroline Rose). Other cities include Evanston, Vienna, Bensalem, Mashantucket, Sioux City, and Des Moines. View all dates here.

THE BUDOS BAND

The Budos Band dropped their fifth studio LP back in April, and although they already played two NYC shows behind the album a few months ago, they’ll soon be returning to the city with a stop at Industry City on 9/7, as part of the venue’s City Farm Presents Summer Series. The band will also stop in Virginia Beach, Minneapolis, Madison, Blue Mountain, Richmond, and several others. All dates can be found here.

URANIUM CLUB

As mentioned, Minneapolis mutant punks Uranium Club are touring this year, including a NYC show on June 27 at Brooklyn Bazaar. Since we last spoke, Pinocchio (who just opened for Bikini Kill in NYC) and Nandas were added as openers to that show.

FATHER JOHN MISTY / JASON ISBELL / JADE BIRD

Father John Misty and Jason Isbell recently began their co-headlining tour with Jade Bird opening, and at the Bend, OR show this past Sunday, Jason’s former Drive-By Truckers bandmate Patterson Hood reunited with him for a DBT song and a Rolling Stones cover. The tour hits NYC for a BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival show in Prospect Park on June 19, and you can win tickets to that show.

KEVIN DEVINE

Bad Books (Kevin Devine and Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull and Robert McDowell) are releasing their long-awaited third album this week and then going on their first tour in six years which includes dates in June and August. In between, Kevin Devine has one solo show: Port Chester, NY’s Garcia’s at Capitol Theatre on July 27.

Following her tour with Angel Olsen, Vagabon has added a one-off headlining show at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust in October, one month after the release of her new LP All The Women In Me.
