The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

THE INTERNET

The Internet have expanded their tour in support of their newest LP Hive Mind. After they play Afropunk Brooklyn and do a previously announced run opening for Gorillaz (including the Barclays Center show on 10/13), they’ll play a bunch of headlining dates and other festivals, including stops in Philly, Boston, LA for Gorillaz’s Demon Dayz fest, and more. Find the full list of dates here.

MAC DEMARCO

Mac DeMarco is striking out on his own — he’s launching his own record label, and has a solo tour this fall as well.

LEMURIA

Indie-punk outfit Lemuria released the very solid Recreational Hate back in 2017, and they’ve recently added a bunch of dates to their tour. This includes a show at Brooklyn’s Market Hotel on 11/2 with Bethlehem Steel (tickets), and further stops in Chicago, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and more. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday (8/10) at 10 AM. All dates can be found on the band’s Twitter here.

BOMBA ESTEREO

Colombia’s Bomba Estereo put out their most recent album Ayo last year, and the band has added more dates in support of the album. This includes a stop at NYC’s Terminal 5 on 12/12, and other dates in Orlando, Oakland, and Miami. The band also dropped a new video for “Amar Asi,” which you can view below.

NNAMDI OGBONNAYA

Multi-instrumentalist Nnamdi Ogbonnaya, whose style brings together the worlds of experimental pop, jazz, and hip hop, has announced a headlining tour across North America in the fall. On the road, he’ll be joined by openers Sen Morimoto and Options, the latter of which is opening Nnamdi’s show at NYC’s Baby’s All Right on 10/7. Tickets for these shows go on sale Friday (8/10) at 10 AM. Check here for the full list of dates.

KAKI KING

Guitarist Kaki King is touring Australia all throughout August, and she’ll soon be coming stateside in the fall for a few shows. This includes three shows at NYC’s Iridium on 11/9 and 11/10, before playing dates in Charlotte, Colorado Springs, and San Francisco. All upcoming dates are listed here.

EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE – THE GREAT SATAN

Demented video collective Everything is Terrible are going for round tour on their current The Great Satan tour. The Devil rides again starting August 31 in Ann Arbor, MI and continues through September 16 in Detroit. There are NYC-area shows at BSP Hudson and Gramercy Theater, too. All dates are here, and if you’re unfamiliar with the work EIT make with their idle hands, watch the tour trailer:

GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR (NYC with EMEL)

DAVID NANCE GROUP

Omaha cult musician David Nance will release his new album via Chicago’s Trouble in Mind this fall, and he and the David Nance Group will be touring too.

THE ALARM

Welsh anthemic rock vets The Alarm released Equals, the band’s first record in eight years, back in June. They’ll be playing touring North America in support of the album throughout the year, which includes shows in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Seattle, among others. After this, the band will be playing two shows in NYC for the band’s third-annual “New York Gathering” in April 2019 (tickets). The first show takes place at Gramercy Theatre on 4/12, where the band will play the same setlist they performed at their classic “Spirit of ’86” show, before playing a more traditional show at Irving Plaza on 4/13. And in further The Alarm news, the band’s alter-ego group The Poppy Fields (who had a UK hit with “45 RPM” in 2004) will be doing a show at NYC’s Mercury Lounge on 11/12. More details on the “New York Gathering” here, and all Alarm dates here. View the band’s new video for “Thirteen Dead Reindeer” below.
