ULVER

Long-running, shapeshifting Norwegian band Ulver are finally making their US debut after 25 years of releasing music on March 21 at Irving Plaza. They sold out that show and added a second one happening at the same venue the next night.

NATHAN BOWLES (trio)

Having just released his first album with a trio, Nathan Bowles and that very same trio will hit the road in November, including a stop at Steve Gunn’s Brooklyn residency.

THE REGRETTES

LA pop punks The Regrettes continue to rise, and they announced new tour dates including a run with Welles and Micky James that hits Chicago, NYC (Gramercy Theatre on 12/3), Cambridge, Philly, DC, Atlanta, Austin, and more. All dates and tickets here. They also released a new single, “California Friends,” which sounds kinda like the punky side of ’90s No Doubt.

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM / J.S. ONDARA

Lindsey Buckingham, who is no longer in Fleetwood Mac, tapes an episode of Live From Here with Chris Thile today (which airs Saturday and Sunday), and then begins his tour Sunday. Opening is rising folk-blues artist J.S. Ondara, whose sets are not to miss. All dates and more info here.

BIG THIEF

Big Thief played ACL Fest (which is streaming live) earlier today, and they’ll do so again next Friday, after playing an ACL night show this coming Thursday. After that, they have more October dates including stops in Brooklyn, Boston, Providence, DC, Atlanta, and more, before finally playing New Orleans’ Voodoo Fest the weekend before Halloween. WILLIAM BASINSKI

The Disintegration Loops composer has a new work, On Time Out of Time, due out in January and he’s currently previewing it at select dates, including a NYC show in November.

HOLY GHOST!

Having just shared new single “Anxious,” veteran Brooklyn dance duo Holy Ghost! have also just announced a new hometown show happening at Elsewhere on January 24. They’ll also be DJing at Brooklyn’s Good Room on October 24 with . Tickets for both those shows are on sale now. Holy Ghost! have a couple other DJ gigs this month in Boston and Philly — all dates are here.
