KAMAAL WILLIAMS

British jazz/funk/hip hop mixologist Kamaal Williams is once again coming to North America in support of last year’s The Return, hitting DC, Boston, NYC (Elsewhere on 11/23), Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, Portland, LA, San Francisco, and more in November and December. TORCHE / EYE FLYS

Torche have shared an official live video for “Infierno” off this year’s great Admission that they filmed at Brooklyn Bazaar in August, and they also added more dates, including a run with Eye Flys (mem Full of Hell, Backslider). They also have shows with Windhand, Russian Circles, Pinkish Black, and Fotocrime. All dates here.

MIC DROP WITH MURRAY HILL

Murray Hill will host a new lip synch party called Mic Drop at The McKittrick Hotel’s Manderley Bar in NYC on select Thursdays this fall. It happens September 26, October 24 and November 21. The fun starts at 10 PM each night, right after Sleep No More. Tickets are on sale.

HARI KONDABOLU

Comedian Hari Kondabolu, who you may know from documentary The Trouble with Apu, is on tour this fall, including shows in Charlotte, Oakland, Northampton, Providence, Kansas City, Ann Arbor, Dallas, Eau Claire, Milwaukee, and more. Head here for all dates.

SUM 41 (playing CHUCK in full)

Having already played Does This Look Infected? in full on tour for its 15th anniversary, Sum 41 are now set to play 2004’s Chuck — their not-half-bad foray into metal territory — in full for its 15th anniversary on their upcoming fall tour. The tour also celebrates the band’s new album Order In Decline, which once again sees them embracing more of a metal side. The dates include a US run (which hits NYC on 10/28 at Hammerstein Ballroom), a co-headlining Canadian tour with The Offspring, and more. More info here and all dates here.

TROPICAL FUCK STORM

Australia’s Tropical Fuck Storm will wrap up their North American tour this week, hitting Montreal tonight, Boston on Thursday and Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall on Friday. After that they head back to Australia but will tour Europe in November. FOXING & OSO OSO opening for MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA

Manchester Orchestra have added two very cool openers to their upcoming Mean Everything To Nothing 10th anniversary tour.

Cloak were added to the 1349/Uada tour, making for a killer triple threat of black metal.

KADAVAR / RUBY THE HATCHET

Heavy psych bands Kadavar and Ruby the Hatchet are touring the US together.

ELEPHANT STONE

Elephant Stone just dropped a new single and are playing Austin’s Levitation festival in November, and will tour around it with shows in San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, Santa Fe, Denver, Fort Collins, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
