DIRTY PROJECTORS

Having released their new album today, Dirty Projectors expanded their tour, adding three-show runs in various cities.

THE AVETT BROTHERS

The Avett Brothers are in the NYC area currently as part of Gov’t Mule’s “Dark Side of the Mule” tour (they’re performing the Pink Floyd classic in full), playing NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center tonight. They’ve just expanded their tour, including a three-night headlining run at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on September 25-27. Tickets for those shows go on sale 7/19 at 10 AM. TORO Y MOI

Toro Y Moi announced a tour earlier this week that included a show at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on November 10. That show sold out so they’ve added a second Elsewhere show on 11/11 and tickets for that show are on sale now. Toro Y Moi has some DJ gigs with Nosaj Thing under their Laff Trax guise before this tour, including two NYC dates. MASS GOTHIC

Mass Gothic, the duo of onetime Hooray for Earth main man Noel Heroux and Zambri’s Jessica Zambri, will release their second album, I’ve Tortured You Long Enough, on August 31 via Sub Pop. You can check out two songs off the album below. The band are currently out supporting Modest Mouse on tour, and will play Sub Pop’s 30th anniversary in August. They’ll also play a record release party at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Zone One on September 5. Head here for all dates.

HASAN MINHAJ

Comedian and former Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj will debut his Netfix series later this year, but before that he’ll be on a standup tour in August and September.

Providence noise vets Daughters just released their first new song in 8 years and announced a tour.

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE / KAMASI WASHINGTON / etc

Florence + the Machine gave an update on her tour that Kamasi Washington will open the Brooklyn show and Grizzly Bear will open in Boston. Other openers include St. Vincent, Perfume Genius, and more.

MAE

Reunited emo band Mae recently put a new single out and announced a tour. All dates (including two NYC shows) here.

DEVOTCHKA

Gypsy-folk-indie-etc band DeVotchKa have announced a new album, This Night Falls Forever (due August 24 via Concord Records), and a tour. the newly-announced dates begin in NYC on August 23 and wrap up in Minneapolis on October 7.
