TREY ANASTASIO BAND
Before Phish head out on tour for the summer, Trey Anastasio will take his solo band on the road for dates in May and June, including shows in Baltimore, Asbury Park (Stone Pony Summerstage on May 23 & 24), Providence, Portland (ME), Canandaigua, NY (with Jason Isbell), Royal Oak (MI), Pittsburgh and Cleveland. CASS MCCOMBS / STEVE GUNN
Cass McCombs and Steve Gunn are teaming up for a West Coast spring tour and they’ll both be accompanied by full bands. The tour begins in Pioneertown, CA on May 1 and includes a two-night stay at LA’s The Lodge Room, plus stops in Morrow Bay, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. Rising Florida rapper and Members Only member Danny Towers is playing some shows behind his 2019 debut mixtape Tarantula, including the Rolling Louds in Miami and Portugal and a NYC show at SOB’s on March 4 with DJ Scheme.
ADRIANNE LENKER (BIG THIEF)
Adrianne Lenker will be busy for much of 2020 on tour with her band Big Thief, including appearances at Pitchfork Festival, the Newport Folk Festival, and a big Celebrate Brooklyn! show in Prospect Park, but she has carved a little time for an East Coast solo tour in April.
THE BAD PLUS
Jazz trio The Bad Plus will be on tour this March and April, including stops in Hartford, Seattle, Oakland, DC, and more. There’s also a six-night run at NYC’s Village Vanguard (3/24-29). All dates are listed here.
DIPLO “HIGHER GROUND” PARTIES
Diplo is bringing his house-oriented Higher Ground parties to NYC (Brooklyn Mirage on May 29) and San Francisco (The Midway on June 13). Lineups are still TBA but both are on presale now. He’s also got other shows and festival appearances, which are listed here.
Stoner/horror doomers Acid Witch have announced a tour surrounding their appearances at Maryland Deathfest and Oblivion Access, including select shows with Elder (who have a new album and other tour dates coming), Ringworm (who also have other tour dates), and Primitive Man.
ANGELS & AIRWAVES
Tom Delonge has rescheduled some Angels & Airwaves tour dates to surround his spring festival appearances, and also added some new ones.
Ice-T’s rap metal band Body Count added a NYC show to their upcoming tour behind their upcoming album Carnivore.
PITCHFORK FEST 2020 LINEUP
The 2020 Pitchfork Music Festival happens at Chicago’s Union Park from July 17-19. It’s the 15th edition of the festival and this year’s lineup includes headliners Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Run the Jewels and The National, plus Fiery Furnaces who are indeed back (this is their first announced show in nine years), Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten, Big Thief, and more.
A. SWAYZE & THE GHOSTS
A. Swayze & The Ghosts hail from Tasmania and make revved up garage punk that pulls influence from Australian groups like Eddy Current Suppression Ring and the shambolic romance of The Libertines or The Vaccines. The band will head to this side of the planet in the spring for their first-ever US. tour.
