MALIBU LOVE SESH BENEFIT

Next month, the Malibu Foundation will be holding their “Malibu Love Sesh” benefit concert at LA’s Hollywood Palladium on 1/13, with proceeds going towards Californians affected by this year’s Woolsey Fire. The show boasts a pretty awesome lineup, featuring St. Vincent, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Beck. Tickets go on sale Friday (12/21) at 10 AM PST, and you can find out more info here.

TRIPPIE REDD

Rapper Trippie Redd spent part of this year supporting Travis Scott on tour, and he’s just announced his own “Life’s A Trip” tour, named after his recent debut album. He’ll be stopping in cities like Philly, NYC (Irving Plaza on 2/5), Chicago, Boston, Houston, Detroit, and more. Tickets for these shows go on sale Friday (12/21) at 10 AM local time, and you can find all dates here.

TEENAGE FANCLUB ADDED TO BOATY WEEKENDER

Belle and Sebastian’s August 2019 floating festival Boaty Weekender, which sails from Barcelona to Cagliari, already sports an impressive lineup of Mogwai, Camera Obscura, Japanese Breakfast, Alvvays, and others. Today, they’ve added yet another great act to the fest: fellow Scottish group Teenage Fanclub (who have a North American tour of their own in 2019). Reservations are still available.

NYHC legends Youth of Today reunited with the We’re Not In This Alone lineup of Ray Cappo, Porcell, Walter Schreifels, and Sammy Siegler back in 2016, and now that lineup are set to play their first NYC shows in over 20 years. So far, two are announced. One is sold out and the other goes on sale Friday.

ERIK LINDMARK (DEEDS OF FLESH) MEMORIAL SHOWS

Erik Lindmark, the founder of metal label Unique Leader Records and the guitarist of tech-death band Deeds of Flesh, tragically passed away last month at the age of 46. In tribute to Lindmark, Unique Leader will be hosting a pair of shows dedicated to his memory. The first show takes place at the Sweet Springs Saloon in Los Osos, CA tonight (12/20), with performances from Cryptolith and Stone Mountain. The second show will be held at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on February 2, featuring a lineup headlined by Internal Bleeding, with additional performances from Pyrexia, Cognitive, and Afterbirth. Tickets are on sale now. At both shows, additional donations will be accepted, which will go towards a fund for Lindmark’s family. If you can’t attend, you can still donate via GoFundMe.

TREEFORT MUSIC FEST LINEUP

The 2019 Treefort Music Fest happens March 20-24 in Boise, Idaho and the lineup so far includes Vince Staples, LIz Phair, Low, American Football, Toro Y Moi, mewithoutYou, JPEGMAFIA, Built to Spill, Black Mountain, Cherry Glazerr, Dan Deacon, CHAI, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Laura Veirs, Tigers Jaw.
