Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross scored new drama 'Patriots Day' (listen), working on new Ken Burns doc 'The Vietnam War'

While Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross just released a new Nine Inch Nails record, they’re also staying very busy in the soundtrack world. Reznor and Ross composed the music for new drama Patriots Day which stars Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Bacon and is about the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. The pair’s ethereal style, with signature use of that Swarmatron synth, is present here. The film hits theaters today and the score is out now — listen to that, and watch the trailer for the film, below.

Reznor and Ross will next score acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns‘ 10-part documentary series The Vietnam War which will explore the conflict from both American and Vietnamese perspectives. That will air on PBS in September and you can watch a clip below.
