tribute to Americana women hits NYC w/ Courtney Marie Andrews, Jade Bird, Craig Finn, Amy Helm, Barr Brothers & more

On May 9, the Americana Music Association will present the “Americana Benefit” at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg. Billed as “a tribute concert celebrating pioneering women of country, blues, and folk,” the concert will feature artists covering songs by Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Bessie Smith, Carole King, Mahalia Jackson, Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, and more.

The concert has a very impressive lineup, including Amy Helm, The Barr Brothers, Cassandra Jenkins, Courtney Marie Andrews, Craig Finn, Deva Mahal, Elizabeth and the Catapult, Jade Bird, Kam Franklin (The Suffers), Kanene Pipkin (The Lone Bellow), Lola Kirke, Nicki Bluhm, and Vera Sola, plus a few more TBA.

Tickets go on sale Friday (4/6) at noon with an AmEx presale starting today (4/4) at noon and an Americana Music Association member presale starting Thursday (4/5) at noon. All proceeds will benefit the Americana Music Association.
