Breanna Barbara reworks Tricky's "When We Die," playing in his band on tour

Trip-hop vet Tricky released new album ununiform in September which featured “When We Die,” his first collaboration with Martina Topley Bird in 15 years. If you haven’t checked that out, or the album, it’s an update of the classic mid-’90s Tricky sound, and you can stream the LP below. He’s also just shared a new version of “When We Die,” reworked by Breanna Barbara. Her smoky, rock noir style is a perfect match for Tricky and you can stream that below too.

Tricky just started his North American tour, and Breanna will be joining him as a vocalist in his band. The tour is in NYC tonight for the BrooklynVegan-presented show at Music Hall of Williamsburg with In the Valley Below. Tickets are still available and we’re also giving away a pair on our Facebook.
