Trump fan (?) & future president Kanye West on tour, adds Sunday LA show

Kanye for president

Kanye West, who is playing New Year’s Eve in Brooklyn, was forced to cut his November 3rd LA short due to losing his voice. A makeup show will happen at the Forum in Inglewood THIS SUNDAY (11/20), and limited tickets go on sale today at noon LA time. November 3rd ticket holders were also offered the opportunity to go, and “West is also offering a large number of free tickets to students in select inner-city schools and music programs in Los Angeles and Inglewood, according to a press release. ”

This new date will be the third date of the second leg of his Saint Pablo tour that kicked off last night (11/17) with a news-making (natch) show at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The New York Daily News reports:

The rollicking rapper jumpstarted the second leg of his “Saint Pablo” tour Thursday by revealing that he didn’t cast a ballot on Election Day — but that Donald Trump would have gotten his vote if he did.

“I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? What I didn’t tell you … If I were to have voted I would have voted on Trump,” West told a massive crowd in San Jose, eliciting both boos and cheers.

The shocking announcement came after the “Jesus Walks” rapper announced he plans to run for President in 2020, according to tweeting audience members

UPDATE: After saying he would’ve voted for Trump, he also said “That don’t mean that I don’t think that black lives matter. That don’t mean I don’t think that I’m a believer in women’s rights. That don’t mean I don’t believe in gay marriage.” He also added, “If people who are racist feel more inspired to say how they feel, then they exposing themselves, bro. That’s what I’m saying. It’s already the beginning of change. Sometimes things that you might think are bad have to happen in order for change to fucking happen. Sometimes you might have to not get your way to really understand what to do in the future to be able to get your way.” You can hear more in the videos below. FEC records also reveal that Kanye donated over $2,000 to Hillary’s campaign, and $15,000 to the DNC.

Hannibal Buress weighs in:

We recently asked David Crosby what he thinks about Kanye For President:

I think Kanye — no matter what you think of him, and I don’t have a very high opinion of him — I think he’s very clever at manipulating the press and it’s a good way to get coverage. You can’t tell exactly what’s going to happen in this country, though. I heard that The Rock is thinking about doing the same thing. But I really think it’s just a way to get press.

Press is a great thing when you have tickets to sell. Kanye tour dates below:
